The bottle that refused to die
Well yesterday I had to throw out my old polar water bottle. I had purchased it in 1975 when I went to PA School in Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. I Road 2 mi back and forth to classes and on the weekends with friends we bicycled about 30 miles. It kept my water cold and kept me hydrated. I continue using it for years afterwards all through my service career until I retired in 1989. Then continue using it after that when I would bicycle or run. I had put it up on the Shelf in the house and thought I had thrown it out but found it recently. Unfortunately when I went to use it, the rubber mouthpiece disintegrated into pieces. So basically I use this water bottle from about 1974 till last week when it finally fell to pieces. I certainly think that's quite good for a water bottle that I probably in the past paid about $8 for.

It is ok (sounds tepid but count the stars)
It's just a water bottle with some basic insulation fer crissakes, it's not magical. Don't expect too much from it and you should be reasonably satisfied if not outright overjoyed. Especially don't expect it to keep anything chilled for any length of time on a hot day cuz that's not going to happen. Buy it for what it is, a well-made basic water bottle, solid design, good materials, made in the USA by a company that's been making these kind of bottles for years. And don't buy it for the free cap replacement gimic, that's kind of BS because it doesn't include shipping which is almost half the cost of a brand new bottle. Some of your more unethical Amazon Shoppers will probably just go to the local sporting good store and steal a new cap.

Ice cold water for biking
I love these bottles! I have 2 and bought one for my mother. I take them biking and kayaking. When I take long bike rides I'll freeze one with water overnight. The other bottle I fill with ice cubes and water before I go out. The insulation has worked great for me. Sometimes too good on the one that was frozen... as it's still mostly a giant ice cube when I'm ready to drink it! I find the bottles do sweat, but since I'm using them while riding it's not a problem for me. I find it very easy to pull them out of my bottle holders and drink while I am riding. My mom loves her bottle too. It works much better at insulating than whatever old bottle she used before.

Fun, functional water bottle that tries hard to stay cool in the Florida heat.
My family has three of these bottles and the overall performance is "just okay" when temperatures are consistently above 90.My daughter and I use ours for lacrosse and my son and I use ours for cycling. From my experience, these are good water bottles that will prevent your liquids from getting warm during short periods, but as far as keeping things cold for an hour or more, it's an impossible task in Florida. My son and I have found that after 90 minutes of road cycling, liquids are no longer cold, or cool, but slightly on the warm side. They fit in our bottle cages (they are traditional size metal) and have a good grip on them. They hold 24 ounces, so good for shorter rides when a water pack isn't necessary. During lacrosse, my daughter is a goalie and I'm a coach. When there are water breaks I will notice that 15 minutes in to the game the water isn't as cold as it was when we pulled the full bottle from the fridge. Of course, during night games, when the sun isn't beating down on us, the water does remain pretty cool.Nearly all the girls on our lacrosse team use Polar Bottles, so it will do an admirable job. You may wish to put some ice in it and leave it in the fridge until you leave. I have not noticed any taste issues from plastic resins. The caps have worked fine and seal tightly.Overall, this is a good, short-term bottle in hot weather.

Great for keeping water cold - great design!
I've been trying to drink more water, but I like it cold and this was the perfect answer. I fill this up in the morning with ice and water and it lasts me most of the day at my desk at just the right temperature. And it gets cold VERY fast in the freezer. I filled it up with water, put it in the freezer and it was almost frozen solid in a little more than an hour - great for those last minute trips to the park, or out with the kids. And I love that it's flexible, you can squeeze it - definitely a better alternative than the metal ones and even the harder plastic ones. It's definitely a great design. I definitely recommend this!

A crinkled mess
I thought maybe I had received a couple of duds when I recently ordered two of these for my daughters for stocking stuffers. These are the "it" thing at schools right now, so I thought, sweet, I'm getting in cheap on this one. "Cheap" is the key word here. The photo on the website makes them look cute, but the two I got look like someone wadded up a Mylar balloon and shoved it in the bottle. I'm almost embarrassed to give these to them. It's almost like these were seconds or something, but I read the reviews and see many other buyers have had the same experience. Not worth the money for sure.

Excellent Bottle but Difficult to Clean
I am so disappointed because I loved this bottle; I got so many compliments on it, it kept my water freezing cold (exactly how I like it) all day, and my dog even loved it; it was easy for me to squeeze water into her mouth while on a hot walk without her having to actually touch the bottle with her mouth. However, I used some water flavoring, and the next day there was mold in the bottle. I scrubbed it with a bottle brush and ran it through the diswasher but the mold remained. I tried several different methods including different size bottle brushes and a paper towel, but the odd divets on the inside of the bottle made it extremely difficult to remove all of the mold. I ended up having to replace the bottle. If you're going to purchase this bottle, don't put anything in it except for plain water. The design would be greatly improved by smooth inner walls that are easy to clean.
