Surprisingly Durable with A Delicate Color
Among inks, this was something of an impulse buy. After seeing a friend's periwinkle nail polish, I thought about how interesting of a color it would be to write with. Once again, Noodler's came through! I eye dropped my Moonman S5 to enjoy the dark purple-blue of the concentrated ink. When written on the page, it showed an almost dainty color: pastel in the same way as Easter decorations. Unlike other inks that I'd consider "vanity", it earns the "Eternal" part of it's name. It dries fast and seems impervious to water. Written on a sheet of printer paper, that I then saturated with water, it held up extremely well. If you're looking for an unusual color, that won't wash away, then this is it.

Beautiful color.
Beautiful color. Smallish bottle compared to my other Noodlers purchases. Only 1 ounce.

A gorgeous color
This is yet another gorgeous Noodler' ink. Great flowing and shimmery as well.

Periwinkle Ink
The color is not as intense as I had hoped, but it is a good ink. I feel sure other colors are probably more intense.

Beautiful color
This ink writes very dry, but I love the color.

Beautiful shade of light blue/violet. Bulletproof.
For this review, I inked up an unbranded Chinese pen that is a clone of the Lamy Safari. The nib is a 1.1mm stub, and the paper is Black and Red journal. While this ink writes slightly dry, the writing experience with the above components was outstanding. The flow was smooth and consistent and the beautiful ink glided across the paper as if it were glass. The dry time was much shorter than most inks on the Black and Red OptikPaper. There was slight ghosting (ink showing through the opposite side of the page) but not enough to prevent writing on both sides of the page. The color is a light blue to a light violet. Saturation is low and the ink dries to a chalky finish that I like. There is no shading.Periwinkle is one of Noodler's bulletproof inks with serious archival qualities for such an elegant ink. Extra care is suggested when refilling as the ink will tend to stain cellulose fibers. While this ink is about 3 times as expensive as standard Noodler's inks, I think it's worth it. A very unique ink.

Slow and Washed Out
I'm a Noodlers fan. I own too many of the fountain pens and too many bottles of ink. Some of the products are better than others, but overall they are good products. This particular ink was disappointing. I had trouble getting it to write with my Noodlers Flex pen. If I would pause in my writing, I would have to fool with the pen to get the ink restarted. When writing, I had to use too much pressure. Most fountain pen inks are pulled out of the pen by the paper to leave at least a thin line. This is not the case with this ink. Without pressure, there is no ink flow.In my Moleskine notebook, this ink bleeds through the paper. With my other colors, I only get this amount of bleed through if I write with flex: a lot of ink on the paper. I will concede that I am flexing this pen to write at all, so maybe this is the problem? I can write without bleed-through in my Black and Red notebooks, so this ink will work with a higher quality paper. And that leads me to one more concern: color. I'll concede that the color attracted me. I like this kind of blue. However, on the paper it just looks washed out and it's a bit slow to dry. This is not an ink for serious writing. I haven't tried a black-light on it, but I hear it looks purple and vivid under those conditions. This isn't a real useful feature.I would not buy this ink again. I'm glad it came in a smaller than normal bottle. I may not even use the ink up.
