Effective and pleasant sunshade, good value for money
Arrived sooner than expected, with base delivered next day. Both fitted together very well, sunshade large enough to provide shade over garden seats. Attractive enough for a plain cream although I would have liked one of the livelier colours (red or blue), but only this one was available at the lower price. It's pleasant enough and the tilt mechanism is very useful as we face the sun directly, so can adjust the angle whenever needed. The only downside - in common with parasols as a whole - is that it doesn't fare well in any but the lightest of breezes. The canopy turned inside out, which probably isn't good for it to have that happen too often! - and we were worried it would be lifted out of the base and into the garden, so we will only use it on still days. But I was delighted to find a good garden set for less than £33, so I'm pleased!

Well engineered parasol
Simple but stylish, this parasol has more than exceeded our expectations. Good old German design, it goes up easily and the cover is well attached to the arms so no worries there. It is well made and sturdy, which has been put to the test in our breezy garden. The base which was recommended to go with it, however, has not been so satisfactory as the aperture is too wide and doesn't grip the stem of the parasol firmly enough. A big gust of wind has lifted the parasol out of the base and on to the lawn several times, so now I have had to improvise some wadding round the base of the stem to try to keep it in place. That is a bit of a pain.

Poorly packaged
My gripe is not with the product itself but with the way it was packaged. Somehow the bottom of the long cardboard box it was sent in got squashed in transit and the bottom of the parasol pole and got squashed out of shape so that I had to hammer it back into shape to get it into the bottom or support pole. Not something you expect to have to do with a brand new item. Once up the parasol looks fine and will be plenty big enough to shade my garden table and chairs. The neutral colour is also very serviceable and the whole thing appears quite robust. I am perfectly satisfied apart from the above complaint.

Lovely and bright
I Havn't had much chance to use it yet but I have tried it out and its perfect for my patio, not too large and nice and bright, The pole is a lot slimmer than previous shades I have had and it has a pointed end so I assume it could be used on the beach or in grass etc, However, I use mine in a stand for on the patio and it seems sturdy enough but I do not leave up in the wind as I back onto open fields and it can get a bit rough. It will probably fade if left in the elements all summer so I bought a cheap cover for mine.

Bends & not for a small breeze
I bought this to take to France. We had a similar one last year but wanted a new one for our holiday. Let me make this clear to anyone who is about to but this for a holiday. The Parasol turns inside out with the smallest of breeze. And I don't mean a windy day as I would not be on the beach. We found the Parasol turned inside out so many times that all most all the struts bent. If you are looking for a shade that you can use in a breeze, then do you self a favour and find another company.

No good to leave out with supervision.
It doesn’t stand up to the Cornish breezes as well as expected. One of the metal holder ends came off the second time I used it. Can’t see it lasting very long.
