Go ahead and get this fountain. I think you'll be very happy you did! (It may even save you some vet bills!)I'm so happy I purchased this water fountain! I got it because my cat would only drink from the toilet, never his water bowl, even if it meant going without water for days until he got sick from dehydration that he landed in the hospital on more than one occasion. So I was really hoping this fountain might entice him to drink instead. I couldn't tell if he was drinking from it for a few weeks because he'd never do so in front of me, so I set up his automatic feeder so it would take pictures whenever he came near the fountain, and I finally caught him drinking! (See picture.) I think he believed he was stealing from his sister (now passed – I miss her so much!), since he would never eat or drink near where I used to feed her. Now I can always tell that he's been drinking from the fountain because he gets droplets of water on his face. Busted!This unit is so quiet, and I was worried that the light would deter my cat, but he doesn't seem to mind it one but, and it makes a great little nightlight for me!This fountain wouldn't be good for dogs unless they're very small, but it's plenty big enough for my very large male cat.Putting the fountain together was a breeze, except I didn't know which way the filter should go in. Others answered this question in the Q&A section though – it goes on with the flat/smooth side down.At first I thought cleaning it would be complicated, especially when it came to cleaning inside the pump, but I figured out from YouTube that it's much less complicated than I thought it would be. Now it's a breeze to clean the fountain! Basically, if it looks like it can come apart or fit together, just give it a try. (I use the tips of scissors to gently pull the little propellor from the inside of the pump.) It will only fit back together one way, which is pretty easy to figure out, so don't be afraid to wing it. If it fits and runs, you did it right.I was worried about getting the power cable in and out through that small tube along the back of the inside of the fountain and then cleaning out the filter itself, but even that's much easier than I expected. I just use the the tip of a knife to pop out the tiny rubber cover at the top of the tube the cable rubs through and the USB cable slides right through it as you pull out the pump. (Just be sure to keep track of the little rubber piece.) Then the filter comes apart very easily and fits back together just as easily. I use a toothbrush (used only for this purpose) to clean this and all the other parts. Don't forget to clean the part of the cable that gets in the fountain water, as that gets residue buildup on it too.If you're still trying to decide which fountain to get, I highly recommend this one!UPDATECustomer service is top notch! After using the fountain go four months the pump stopped working and the light would just flash blue. I emailed them at [email protected] and they replied within two hours saying if it's flashing red, the pump probably died, but if it's flashing blue it may just need to be cleaned. I do clean it often (and you really should too), but figured it couldn't hurt to do it again. (They attached some pictures which I'm adding here.) Sure enough, I think maybe taking it apart and putting it back together was all it needed.Today, at eleven months, the pump died again but this time it was flashing red, so I emailed asking the best place to get a new pump. They again replied super quick (on a Sunday!) and a new pump is already on the way!

I don’t write reviews often, but I had to for this product. I adopted my cat Moxie in 2020 and we had a dripping bathroom faucet at the time. She loved drinking out of the darn faucet and would rarely drink out of her bowl. So after it was replaced I had to keep turning it on to “drip” because she was stubborn and I had to add sone extra water to her wet food just to make sure she had enough water intake. I started searching around for fountains thinking it would benefit her and I landed on this one. The great reviews sold me (other ones complained of bugs growing in the filters and clearly it grossed me out!) but this one seemed perfect so I purchased it in February of this year. It’s quiet, cute, and very easy to clean and assemble! Now my cat didn’t warm up to it for about 3 weeks to a month though.. I say be patient if your cat(s) don’t seem interested at first because mine finally came around on “her time” and has loved it ever since! I was debating on returning it after a couple of wks but I decided to wait it out because I personally loved it. Lol I take this apart and clean it every week, and I replace the filter about once every month (I found a great deal on Amazon for 10), but I NEED to note… a couple months ago it stopped running water and I thought WTH why would the motor die already? So when I was looking for a new motor I read reviews on it and someone explained how you’re to take apart this motor and thoroughly clean it! Umm… yeah, I had no idea this little blue motor came apart!! So sure enough I took it apart (they even had photos) and when I popped it out the propeller was all gunked up. I cleaned that with the little brush attachment and snapped it all back together and it worked like new! So for the longevity of the motor I cannot express enough to take it apart and CLEAN it out. I 100% recommend this little fountain and would purchase it again. Every week my cat will drink at least half of the water in the reservoir which to me is worth every penny.

I usually don’t write reviews often, but I had to for this product. While on vacation two summers ago, my mom started turning on the faucet so that my cat, Thor, could drink from it because he would usually jump in the bathroom sink by one of his water bowls. She thought it was cute. When I returned home, he became addicted to it and I kept forgetting to go back into the bathroom to turn it off when he was finished drinking. So, I decided to look into fountains. I had one before with other cats, but it was years ago and it always made me nervous that something might happen if the water ran out and the pump overheated. So, I started searching around for fountains searching for one that possibly turned off automatically when the water ran out when I came across this one. The reviews sold me (other ones complained of bugs growing in the filters or just getting into the water tank altogether) but this one seemed perfect so I purchased it last February. My cat loves it and so do I. It’s very quiet, cute, has 2 different water spouts, allows my cat to drink at all angles, has a night light feature so that I can clearly see the water level at all times, and is very easy to take apart, clean, and fill! My cat drinks from it so much that I have to refill it about every 4 days and he does not have kidney disease, he just loves to hang out and drink the water.A few months ago, it started to slow down and sometimes would take a few seconds to start streaming water. I was concerned because my cat loves it so much that I didn't want him to go a day without it and I had heard that most fountains only last 6 months so I ordered a new one. The old one kept going, but I decided to put it away a month ago to use the new one. I left it in the box should the new one break before I could order another one. This time, the new one came with a year's warranty, which was impressive to me. A couple of weeks ago, I had a question about something so I reached out to Wonder Creature and I found out that all I have to do is use the brush that came with the fountain to clean the pump and the old one would be as good as new. He sent me the directions for cleaning the pump (the directions are also in the description on Amazon - they even have photos). I had no idea the little blue motor came apart!! I took it apart today and when I popped it out, the propeller had a bunch of stuff in it. I cleaned that with the brush attachment and snapped it all back together and it started streaming water just like the new one! Nice! Now, I have 2 fountains so I guess I can put the other one in a different spot in my home or give it to another lucky pet owner. That said... this is the perfect water found and is worth every penny. Heck, I would pay double the price for it! On another note... a friend was at my house earlier in the year and commented on how quiet the motor was... he said that his son's cat's water fountain was very noisy and he needed to get this one. Buy this fountain! You will be very glad that you did!!

Second update. Fantastic customer service. Responded immediately by sending out a new pump. Having read many reviews on various pumps- it just seems like the nature is that they do not last long. We like the drinking fountain and more importantly all of our pets like it so we will keep replacing the pumps as neededUPDATE. This was a great find until it died exactly four months to the day after purchase. We have been religious about replacing both filters and cleaning as instructed and not letting it run dry of water.. It was completely full of water when I came in one morning and the light was working however it was no longer pumping. My cats really love this fountain and use it every day so I’m going to reach out to the manufacturer and seller to see what can be done.This is a great find. We’ve had it Over two months and it works great. We are frankly surprised that all three of our cats love drinking out of it. The water does evaporate surprisingly quickly, at least in our climate. We fill it with filtered water from the start and then rinse the unit and refill it every three days. This is important because even though there is a filter you’ll be surprised at the amount of pet hair or a few insects you may find in the basin. When we first started using the unit I did not realize that the filter needed to be changed every two weeks now I’ve learned this is a must. We have elevated our filter by flipping a clear plastic shoe container upside down and this helps the cats use it with a little more ease. It’s quiet , easy to use , easy to clean, works well and the household loves it

I had a similar fountain I bought on Amazon that simply did not match up to this product. First, it comes with cleaning brushes and directions on how to disassemble the pump in order to properly clean in all the tiny cracks and crevices - PLEASE DO THIS AT *LEAST* ONCE A MONTH!!! (or more if you have more than one cat) I cannot stress the importance of cleaning *inside* the pump and all its pieces, which I'll explain in more detail below.Here are my thoughts:*Assembly: Easy to assemble but I could see where it might be a little less straightforward for someone who hadn't already used a similar product before or is not familiar with assembling items. For this, I would say the instructions are sufficient for guiding through set up.*Cleaning: So easy with the two brushes included!!! You simply remove the two top pieces, dump the tank's water, pull the pump and light out, take off the pump's two covers and pull out the tiny fan. (Pro tip: make sure to do this over a closed drain so you don't lose any pieces.) I recommend filling a sink with soapy, hot water and putting all the pieces and tank in to soak while you pull each component out to scrub and rinse.*Noise: So extremely quiet you can barely hear it, even with the flower adapter! **BUT** only when that tank is very full. As the water level lowers the fountain does get noisier. If you find water trickling/bubbling noises soothing, this shouldn't bother you as the noise is that of water trickling and not of a motor or machine. If you're like me, I find water features' sounds distracting and annoying, but not to worry, just fill it back up once it gets beyond your comfort level. If your main concern is the fountain being quiet at all times, this won't be the product for you. I'm not confident a product exists that would.*Appearance: The overall display of this fountain is very nice and appears more expensive than what it is. The light feature and how the light comes up through the metal top's holes makes the lighting such a neat addition to the overall product. I've been calling it my cat's 'little spaceship.' The quality of the pieces and overall product up close does give away the price point a bit more. Mainly the pump's components more than anything. For example, one of the covers you pop onto the pump has give and will click when pushed on it. At first I thought I hadn't clicked it onto the pump in the correct position, so I verified with the instructions. Once verified, I then thought maybe I just wasn't pushing it in hard enough for it to click all the way, but eventually realized it just had a little more give once clicked into place. I was concerned during the initial assembly but after 3 weeks of use, I do not see any evidence that this has compromised its functionality or integrity.Filters: This is my only dislike of this product. The filters have four compartments which each have it's filtering piece inside. In my other, similar fountain the filtering pieces filled the entire pocket in which they resided. This product has only a small square within each of the four pockets leaving space on either side of the filter open. I'm pretty sure, however, other filters for fountains will work in place of the ones provided with the product.*Overall: A product I can highly recommend for the price point aesthetically, functionally and for the bang for buck.

Ok so I firstly, I LOVE this thing. It keeps us from having to have the faucet on 24/7 or filling up a tiny bowl that often gets tipped over. Its quiet (I only hear some annoying bubbling noises if it isnt all the way full so I just keep it full) and the cat likes it. Some things I've noticed about it:It takes some time to get the cat to use it. My Olde Laydee is 13 years old and after 13 of those years being inside/outside, Shes being phased to an indoor only lifestyle. Predictably, she avoided this thing like the plague. No matter what I did she wouldnt go near it. After a few weeks worth of putting treats around the rim and slowly moving her bowl towards it she got more comfortable even sitting within 3 feet of it. Eventually I took her bowl away all together and she started using it not even 20 minutes later (crying the whole time) now the small bowl is for wet treats occasionally and she only drinks out of the fountain.The flower attachment. One of the reasons she avoided it. I kept it on there for a few weeks to show her there is running water in it. But afterwards I took it off and she was much more comfortable with it.Noise level: again it's mostly quiet. I only hear any gurgling or bubbling when it's less than 100% full, so I simply top it off. (Its in my bedroom so i hear it all night every night otherwise, but if it's in like say, the kitchen, it shouldnt be that bothersome i only notice it when I'm tryin to sleep).Filters: i dont use them and I probably wont. After reaching out to the company I asked if the charcoal in the filters would neutralize the water additive I use, they said it would. I use orvatene liquid to help manage Ye Olde Laydee's teeth and gums. She doesnt seem to mind (as long as she doesnt see me put it in the fountain that is). So if you plan on using any water additive, dont use the filters.The only downside to not using filters is to clean it more frequently. Once a week vs 2 weeks.Cleaning this thing! I've seen so many reviews talking about how they cleaned it and then it stopped working. It made me apprehensive to buy the fountain, it's not exactly cheap. HOWEVER, if you ,read the instructions carefully and dont try to pry apart anything that isnt coming off, you should be fine. The motar has 2 removable pieces. That's it. 3 if you count the magnet. (Which I only run under warm water and immediately put back, dont stick a brush there.) Dont try to pry anything else from it, if it doesnt come off easily it's not meant to come off. You should hear a small snap when its put on again correctly after cleaning it. The suction cups on the bottom of the motor keep it in place. I wash these as well. Dont try to lift it all the way out. Keep the wires as still as you can (but do clean them). I use steaming hot water to rinse out the sponge. No soap. I use regular dish soap and the brushes it comes with to clean the rest of it. I use hot water. Do not run this through the dishwasher, it will break. Do not try to hose it off, it will (probably) break. Wash it by hand and only by hand. Rinse it thoroughly. Treat it right. And it'll treat you right. Place it somewhere its unlikely to get kicked around or fall. The cord is short for me (i use 10ft when i can), but it works out where I was able to fit it anyways.

I am soooo glad I found this water fountain online. Since our dog passed, we get our dog fix from family & neighbors dogs and I wanted to replace our old dog fountain with something easy to clean and would be easy to get at the filter/pump. We have a revolving door of watching dogs, from my 3 grand dogs - chihuahua, king charles & a standard poodle to my neighbors 120 lb black lab, to my friends golden retriever, to little Nala- beagle/mutt. We had Drinkwells in the past and they were horrendous to clean and to keep lime from adhering to the plastic. You would struggle with cleaning all the nooks & cranny's and when you took the pump out to clean, it was always a struggle to get it back in place and you would have to keep pulling it out to get it work and then would hope it would work when you put it back in the fountain again. Not with this fountain, as it is as easy as pie. I love the easy access to the pump and filter. You just lift off the top lid and there is the filter. You lift off the next lid and there is the water pump and container. I can't tell you how easy this fountain is to clean with no nooks or cranny's as it is just one bowl to wash out. Each time I have cleaned it, the pump works when I put it back in. There is a blue light with a water gauge window that lets you see how much water is in the fountain at all times. This is a great feature and it acts as a night light. The feature I really love is, wait for it, if you are low on water, the pump automatically shuts off and will flash red until you add water. That is a fantastic feature because it saves you on ruining the pump. That has only happened to us once but I was sure glad it had this feature or I would of been buying another pump. Once I added water to the fountain, it instantly went back to the blue glow. Each dog we watch drinks from it without any hesitation and I love that it is just enough of a stream so they don't slobber all over after they drink. Our neighbors lab would leave a long puddle trail after he would drink out of a standard bowl. Not with this fountain, his slobber stays on the mat that comes with the fountain. I was worried this fountain would not hold enough water for the size dogs we have here. It has been no problem as long as you look at the water level from time to time and when they stay it is for a week or longer each time. I love this fountain so much I sent one to my son for his new dog and their cat. and they both drink out of his all the time. If you were gone for days on end you would need to have someone add water to it but I would buy this again. In fact I am going to get one for my daughter. Great product.We bought the fountain from WonderCreature and I would buy from him again. My sons pump failed after 2 weeks. They cleaned it and it still did not work and when I contacted him about it, they sent him a new pump out right away without any issues. His fountain has worked great since he got his new pump and his dog/cat love the fountain.

My cats are not big water drinkers. I had to do something to get them drinking more. My little girl Izzy loves to put her paws in the water bowl , which usually ends in her tipping it over. That gets me nuts. My little boy Slash,likes to drink out of the faucets in the sink or the tub. I saw this and thought that it would be perfect for both their issues. Well I got it. Set up was easy and got it going. I kept an eye on the level of water for a full week. It didnt seem like it was moving too much. I almost sent it back, I gave it one more day and I saw Slashie happily playing and drinking so I decided to keep it. I'm glad I did. You need to change the water and clean it every 2 weeks. It will get slimy if you dont watch it and that is very bad for the cats health. I'm going downstairs now to take it completely apart. I've had it 2 months and so far so good. My cats are peeing more so they are drinking more. That makes me glad I decided to keep it. There is a filter that you buy separately that you change every 2 to 3 weeks. It's very quiet. You can barely hear it at all. I recommend this. UPDATE:: this fountian got very problematic for me to clean, it got that pinkish mold very quickly and i had to check it everyday. My cats both have sensitive stomachs and i was afarid that it was making their situations worse. It ended up that it needs to be cleaned with warm soapy dawn dish detergent far more than the directions and the web site say. I was ending up cleaning it way more than i had hoped when i first purchased it. I didn't wantmy cats to get sick, i was very afarid of that. Also the top where they drink, i dont believe was stainless steel and the bottom , where the water is was plastic and could be scratched easily. I had several small brushes to clean it with. Plus a soft tooth brush. It just became a huge hassle so i bought a completely stainless steel one. This is much easier to clean and much less dangerous, in my opinion. So this is now up in a cupboard, in a box. The stainless steel one is much less of a hassle but i check that every night too. Its so much easier to clean ,and takes half the time to do. Just wanted people to know this. Took away one star. The fountian worked fine. The cleaning was the hassle.

At first the catbdidnt accept it and was mainly playing with it or just stare at it, after a couple of days it started using it and seems happy with it, it's definitely much much cleaner water than just the bowl, coz where I'm from is sandy and dusty and the old bowl gets dirty within 2 days. This solved that issue. Cleaner water healthier cat less work for me and medical bills in the future everyone is happy lol.

fountain is nice & simple .. just started using it so i cannot say how long it will survive, it did not come with a power adapter & also without the blue Mat shown in the pictures ..

Eventhough they say that the top layer is made of stainless steel, all parts are made of plastic as you see in the picture.

This is my second. My two cats absolutely love these and they both took to it straight away. I read that some people had an issue with noise, but I personally find it exceptionally quiet. The only time it gets very slightly noisier is when the water level is low and you hear a very faint bubbling of water. But the room would have to be deathly quiet to hear it. I certainly can't hear the actual pump though. I had an issue with the pump on the first one but the company were very happy to send out a replacement. I've since find out that the pumps are a cheap and standard consumable, so I will buy a couple on Ebay in advance so I've always got them spare. It's the only thing that can go wrong on these. Easy to clean, very well boxed and presented with a great cleaning set. So easy to put together. Please remember to also provide a standard drinking bowl in your house when you leave, just in case you have a power cut. We get a few power cuts here during storm season. Our cats never use the drinking bowl any more since getting the fountain, but it just reassures us that their water supply doesn't get cut off in the event that the power fails when we are out.
