Great piece of gear for upgrading cargo trailer
So far so good! Works very well, easily helps me raise/lower my trailer faster. Also great to lower the jack away from my tailgate. The stock jack was too tall and would be in danger of denting the tailgate if I put it down to access the truck bed.

A must have if you don't want to unhook your tailer to open rear of jeep or a tailgate.
If you have a swing out rear tire mount, drop tailgate, this is an absolute must, I can fully open my jeep rear tailgate/door now without unhooking trailer.

The best jack ever
This is by far the best Made and the best built jack I have ever had. It also is the easiest to use and saves tons of time because of the drop down feature. It should be the one and only jack ever sold for trailers.

Great solution!
After wiping out the original Jack pulling my atv trailer with my Motorhome across a dip (highway to parking transition), replaced with this Jack which doesn’t hang down so far and clears much better!! Highly recommend it!

Very neat design
I recently destroyed my tongue jack hauling firewood with a dump trailer offroad. Something must have grabbed it on a bump and nearly tore it off. The replacement was either going to be a weld-on swivel or this. I chose this and I'm glad I did. It was simple to install, and I didn't have to get the welder out like my other option would have required. The jack is no longer the lowest point on the trailer when in the stowed position, and I don't need to crank as much to get it off the truck. I can put it anywhere I want to allow me to open my tailgate. My two concerns are slop in the adjusting mechanism, and the lack of hardware. The slop between the jack and mount is a bit jiggly. It's not any more jiggly than a swivel style, but it could be a little bit more snug and operate fine. Because of the slop, I would not recommend this for medium duty (5 ton+) trailers that can see lots of tongue weight. I could see this wearing out quickly on longer trailers. I think it's fine for my 5 ton dump trailer because the tongue is quite short and the trailer unladen naturally wants to support itself due to the suspension being close to center of gravity. For $90, $30-$50 more than other jacks, I think it's reasonable for the manufacturer to provide the appropriate hardware for the install. Hardware included would have saved me a couple bucks and time at the store, and wouldn't cost the manufacturer nearly as much as it would me. I think it would also be a better presentation of the jack as it would so much better as a product had the hardware been included.

Looking promising so far
I installed the new ultimate jack. Sturdy, great idea. I bought it to be able to drop my tailgate all the way. I can’t drop it all the way without it hitting the handle. Without the, “Plastic retainer” installed the jack post would drop to far down or be able to be removed. I opted for it to just to be able to remove the post for the day when I need access to the truck bed. Unfortunately the instructions clearly state not to do this. I’ve reached out to them to see if I absolutely need the plastic retainer. I don’t see a reason why it would make it any more unsafe but I need to make sure. I’ll update with more details because I’ve wanted one of these for a long time but had trouble making the decision.Update: I received a call after I had inquired about whether I should just take the jack out and if it was safe to do so. I believe it was from the owner. He said it’s designed to use the plastic retainer but if you decide not to it’ll probably be fine. The only issue being if it creates extra play and shears the pin under heavy load and drops on you, potentially causing harm. I said ok, I understand, and left it at that. I feel like because where I park my trailer is on an uphill slope so the pin doesn’t seem any more likely to shear than it normally would with the retainer. If I parked with the trailer facing down hill I might feel differently. It’s a big recommendation that you buy this if you need to keep oem jack placement and drop your tailgate. I’ll continue to update if anything changes. In the future I’ll continue not to use the plastic retainer and to take the jack out anytime I need to drop the tailgate.Edit 2. It’s awesome. To bad I put it off for so long. Now I can use my tail gate as a work surface even with the trailer attached. Go ahead and buy it! 😁

This Jack was perfect for my trailer
This Jack was perfect for my trailer, looking for something that didn’t swing up out of the way or take up too much room. Because my trailer is low to the ground. I highly recommend this Jack for your trailer.
