Nutricost Pure Ascorbic Acid Powder (1LB) Unflavored, Vitamin C Powder

I’ve been very happy with this vitamin C powder. It mixes easily into water or juice, has no unnecessary ingredients, and the unflavored formula makes it simple to add to my daily routine. The container lasts a long time, and the quality feels excellent. It’s a convenient and cost-effective way to get vitamin C. I would definitely recommend it and purchase it again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Vitamin C has been shown to increase the absorption of Levothyroxine, a supplement for people’s with an underactive thyroid that can’t produce enough hormones. I seemed to be having some luck with the Best Natural’s brand of Vitamin C powder. However, when I reordered, the next order tasted like it had solvent in it. So, I threw out the entire canister, figured out that my Vitamin C tablets were worthless as even without a thyroid test I could tell that it wasn’t helping, and then I tried this brand. And I’m glad that I did. First, this has a mild flavor. It’s more like drink water than trying to drink unsweetened Tang. So, day after day, I can take this and not grimace every time I have to take a swallow. Another plus is that it dissolves easily, almost instantly. A few shakes or stirs and it’s in. With the Best Naturals brand, I had to shake it for about a minute to get it dissolved. Also, I found that with the other brand that I had to talk half the dosage to prevent stomach upset whereas with this one, I can add two scoops in 16 oz of water and it does not bother me. (This makes me wonder if there is a correlation between being easy to dissolve and being easy to absorb and if this is a sign of a higher efficacy vitamin C powder…) I was also concerned about whether it would work with Levothyroxine. Like the other brand of Vitamin C powder, it seems to help. My hypothyroid symptoms once again vanished when I switched from Vitamin C tablets. But the test results were the clincher. Now, I am doing lifestyle changes to reduce inflammation and taking liposomal vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavoids in low doses throughout the day, so I can’t say whether this is due to this supplement only but now my TSH levels went from above normal to the low side of the normal range. And I’m happy that this Vitamin is part of my health care regime. If you are looking for pure, high quality vitamin C that is effective, is easy to dissolve, and is nearly tasteless, I recommend trying this brand.

This stuff is GREAT! Just a tiny little scoop that holds 1,000mg (1 gram) of Vitamin C. I put 4 level scoops of it in our glasses of iced tea, it gives a lemony flavor. Warning though, it's really sour, so for my tea I add sugar to taste to counter it, my husband likes it without the extra sugar. My uncle, a doctor, has taken 10,000+mg (10+ grams) of Vitamin C a day for years. It's a water soluble vitamin, so any extra C is eliminated through your urine, which is very good for your kidneys. Vitamin C is touted by experts as a miracle vitamin that can help fix all sorts of physical problems, but the tablets can be a pain. If you're a Vitamin C nut like I have become (since having serious kidney problems), drinking it in your drinks (including not just tea but any drink you choose) is a pleasant alternative to taking those bulky tablets or chewing the lozenges multiple times a day. I highly recommend this powdered version and am really happy I found it! This is my 2nd order, and I plan to keep on ordering it, I never want to run out. No, Nutricost didn't pay me for this review or give me any product for a discount or free, I just LOVE the stuff, so had to emote. <grin>

I love the texture, it’s made in the USA, non gmo. It really doesn’t have a flavor. It’s more of an after taste of biting a lemon but without the lemon flavor if that makes sense? I really like it and will most likely buy it again though it should last me a while. I will tell you do not be a dummy like me and take it Oman empty stomach. I just opened my package after running around all day and exhausted without eating since the morning, but I thought it would help boost my energy by morning if I took it right before I went to sleep. Huge mistake. Since I didn’t eat after I took it. The taste that was left in my mouth was that of throw up after burping. What I mean is the acid taste and burn since I haven’t eaten all day. Bottom line is to eat before taking it and you should be fine. All in all it’s pretty good the texture Bri g my favorite part. Update:•••••••• I’ve been using this for about a week and I thought if I took it with food it wouldn’t upset my stomach, but it does. It’s much too acidy. I eat, way an hour and the. The scoop of C and it’s just makes me belch acid as well as make me nauseous . I really wanted to like it, but there’s no way. I gave it a week and the same result every day no matter when I took it. I don’t have a weak stomach. So the acid level must just be too high.

Nutricost Vitamin C replaced an expensive supplement that I was paying $43 a month for and when bio chemist told me I wasting my money because it wasn't all that and then some. They directed me this route and I can tell a diff after 3 months on new regiment settlement. First off, when you eat ANY meat, to enhance the absorption of Iron, you need to eat a decent amount of Vitamin C rich food, and/or take Virtamin C supplement. ZINC and Vit C are both critical to collagen production Vitamin C power I buy and use Nutricost vitamin C powder bcuz it's the most beneficial and cheapest way to get your vitamin C. It dissolves easy in water or beverages/juices and sometimes I sprinkle it on my fruit. It's VERY cheap and lasts forever!

One of my gluten free bread recipes called for Ascorbic acid powder. I never baked with it so I was a little worried how it's going to come out. We'll it was perfect and delicious and the bonus is, it is full of vitamin C.

On a well. After 7 years of good water, suddenly toilets turned orange! Wouldn't scrub off. Thought I would need new toilets after problem with dissolved iron was mediated. These were expensive Toto with SaniGloss coating I needed to preserve.. After researching tried this. Removed water from bowl. Made paste with this powder and water. Applied to stain, misted to keep paste damp every few hours. Next day stains turned to grey dust that wiped off easily! Pristine white returned. SaniGloss coating undamaged! Hand washed my orange stained white laundry with a few tablespoons of the powder and that was also returned to white! Very effective, disaster averted!

Great quality and enough servings to last a very long time. Has a tangy flavour, so need to add to a full cup of water, but once diluted into full cup of water it is very pleasant.

It has a slightly sour taste and is a brewed type. Therefore it is quite difficult to eat.

小分けにして飲みやすいのでパウダータイプにしました。薄めればそれ程飲みづらく無いように思います。付属スプーンの半分を500mlくらいの水で溶いて午前中に、後の半分くらいを午後からちょっとずつ飲んでいます。個人的にビタミンCを抜くと肌荒れし出すので、食事であまり取れていないのだろうと思うので、小分けで飲めるパウダータイプのサプリメントはありがたいです。非遺伝子組み換えなのも良いです。リピすると思います。
