Great alternative
Bought to replace my Griot’s 6.5 cutting pad. Works just as well at a better price point. Used 3m compound and did a great job of correcting black paint on my Mercedes

Not a professional detailer
My first time using a powered polishing tool. Took some getting use to. The pad proved safe for a novice like me. I'm sure I wasn't doing the polishing process as it should be even though I did view some videos on the type and use of pads. I finished the whole car but not in record time. Using the pad with polish in 2' areas is a good rule to follow. The pad did not damage the finish of my 10plus year old car. The car finish had been waxed maybe once (by hand) since I got it. The pad spread the polish nicely (low speed) then easily worked it onto the finish (medium speed). A quick buff with the micro fiber cloth and WALA. Not bad. Nice gloss to the old finish. Ready to tackle my other car.
