This fine grain sand = 1 & 1/8 cups and works well for supporting sticks
This 1 lb of sand = 1 and 1/8 cups (275ml) in volume. Was just enough to create a base in both a 3.25" and a 4" diameter incense burner. The fine grain sand supports incense sticks better than just using a straight ash. You dont have to bury the stick into this sand as far as you do in ash to get it to stand up straight. Feels a bit expensive for sand but will work well in an incense burner.

It is perfect to put in my little snuffing shell for my sage stick! Pretty and pure white. Not sure why I'm being asked to rate "sheerness" and "thickness", haha! But this is nice sand. [=

Smudging sand
Fine white sand that protects the shine of the abalone shell. I wd distinguish the smoke from sliding stick by dipping it into the sand. Very neat and tidy no mess and easy to clean

Perfect for my burner!
Great product and great quality! Works perfectly in my burner and I love that its white so when I remove the charcoal disc I can make sure to get any extra residue out as well. Will definitely buy again when I run out!
