Good carb, all in all.
My numbers are a bit misleading as the value is good, but I couldn't fit it to my use. The ease of install is due again to not being able to fit it to my use. Trying to install it on a 125cc pitbike but the carb and intake manifold bolt patterns are different, and I could not find the right parts, adapters, etc. To make it work. Was very surprised since others have done it, but apparently with larger carbs that they jet down. That may work but it's also a loss of air velocity and therefore throttle response and a bit lower performance than the Mikuni could provide. I didn't buy it to end up with the performance of the fake Mikuni carbs. The Mikuni carb is a great carb. The company that should those one to me was great. Quickly shipped, well packaged.

Real Mikuni VM22
After fooling with "fake" Mikuni VM22 carbs, this was a sigh of relief to finally find a real one at a great price. This carb has much higher quality components and built like a tank. I will post a pic of the two side by side. It's really easy to tell the real one. Carb worked well right out of the box. Some minor adjustments and I'm ready for a nice long ride to celebrate. I'm going to buy another one just to have in the shop. Beyond thrilled!!

It appears to not be a fit.
the carb seems to be very well made and is likely the real deal...or at least a good knock-off. My problem is that I cannot connect it to the manifold that is on my Lifan 125. Either of them. You can see in the pictures that the holes on the flange of the carb are dead center with the main hole. But the one that came with the lifan and everything else I can find online, is offset slightly. I also had to drill out the flange holes on the manifold as the ones on the carb are WAY bigger and there would have been a lot of slop.

Got defective carb seller never made right.
Wouldn't recommend this seller. I tried everything to get my bike to run right. I literally tried everything adj float changed jets etc. Etc. Nothing worked. Contacted seller they said call mikuni. I did mikuni said well you must have defective carb. I told seller this in the first place. Seems like they could have cared less.

Great real mikuni but pilot jet is too high for honda and clone engines.
After I got over the fact that this carb came wrapped in plastic wrap, and nothing else, I gave it a try. Wow what a difference over the knock-off mikunis that all the go-kart sites sell for the same price or more, I have been trying for a year to get a knock-off to work and I never could, put this carb on and it fired right up. Btw these are the real deal mikuni carbs so that means they come with a 30 pilot jet and a 100 main, the 30 is way too high so make sure to order smaller pilots and bigger mains. I already tried a 20 and 17.5 pilot jet for this carb and it's still fouling my plug on a predator 212 with all the upgrades you can think of, hopefully the 15, 12.5 or 10 will work well. When you order pilots search for "genuine mikuni pilot jet vm22", if you don't see the smaller sizes modify your search with "size 10" or whatever size you're looking for. I'd recommend getting the three smallest jets they have for this thing. Last thing is that these carbs have a main jet nut on the outside which is great, no more pulling the bowl to change a main jet, unfortunately you still have the pull the bowl for the pilot.

Finally, A Decent Carb....
I installed a Lifan 125, into my wife's Honda C70 Passport scooter, so she could keep up with me better. The installation went fine, but the crappy Chinese carb they sent with it never ran right, and, after a few attempts, was impossible to find new jets that fit it.So I bought the VM22. It's a bit bigger, which caused a few issues, but it's so much better machined than the old one. The bike fired up after a kick or two, and idled well. It didn't run very well, though, so I've got a few new jets to try. With the Mikuni, jets are cheap, and easy to find.I have no doubt it will be running like a champ, once I spend some time rejetting it.My lesson...don't mess with cheap carbs. Pay the price, and buy a quality unit, like a real Mikuni or Keihin.

Works great on rzr 170
This is a direct replacement for the carb on the rzr 170 without paying the dealer extortion price. No need to even rejet and it holds a tune.
