IB Mathematical Studies Standard (IB Maths Course Books)

This book is excellent. It contains all the aid I need for the course and even more. All the topics are well explained and contain more than enough practice problems. The book includes a cd with the digital book, which is great if you carry your laptop to school and you dont want to carry more books. The book includes complete chapters for TI procedures which are great if you are new to this type of calculators. This book is perfect for a math studies ib student.

I purchased this book for my daughters, high school math class. Some classes now require you to supply your own book. It came in great condition and the price was pretty reasonable.

Interesting book. It will help me in tutoring one of my students.

We sometimes get students taking the IB course (my wife and I are private tutors in maths), and most frequently the Mathematical Studies course students. This is the most basic level of maths in the IB but, since every IB student has to study maths, this is the level that attracts the students who did least well in their GCSE. Most of the content can be found in any A-level textbook, but the IB courses (3 levels) each has something quite different and, even when the topic is the same, sets different styles of question. We have all three in the series (Mathematical Studies, Mathematics Standard Level, and Mathematics Higher Level).The books follow a similar pattern and style. They are well written, provide good explanations and have questions (with answers) at the appropiate level.Overall a good series.

The students really like this book. There are lots of good exercises, clearly modelled on exam questions. It is easy to design a course and write a scheme of work to go with it.

This is a great book and my students love it...not least because of the generous number of worked examples based on the Texas nSpire calculator which we use. Highly recommended.
