Thomas & Friends - Digs & Discoveries [DVD] [2019]

I went see this special when it premiered at Thomas Land Drayton Manor and it was great form start to finish so very pleased to have this in my Thomas collection. In this dvd we have the 2 part special plus 5 more episodes four in Italy and 3 on Sodor. Frist in All Tracks Lead To Rome: Thomas meets up with his old friend Gina along with new friends Stefano and Ester and discovers the beauty and rich culture of Italy: Then in Mines of Mystery: When his friends the Sodor Construction Company come to help they find some amazing discoveries at a dig site so Thomas goes looking for a big discovery of his own and finds the legendry lost engine Lorenzo and his faithful coach Beppe whose curiosity lead them to been trapped in an old mine: Next in Lorenzo's Solo: Lorenzo is taking the famous opera singer Dame Belle to a concert and decides to use a different couch instead of Beppe but when he takes a short-cut he ends up lost and In To Loud Thomas: Thomas tries to sing opera like Lorenzo and Beppe but looses his voice when he has to deliver a massage to tell Stefano to wait for Gina. Then in Frist Day on Sodor: the Sodor Construction team have a new member called Darcy who is a tunnel-boring machine. Next in Deep Trouble: Max and Monty cause trouble at a dig site for a new visitor's centre and when they ignore a danger barrier Monty ends up stuck in a hole and finally in Out of Site: new vehicle Brenda the bulldozer learns the impotence of working as a team when she thinks Max and Monty dumped stone on her neat and tidy site on purpose. Overall I really enjoyed this and highly recommend this to Thomas fans both old and new.

A great new story set in Italy, with some old building machines friends from Sodor coming to help. Kids loved watching this over Christmas. The only dampener to this was this film had been broken neatly into 2 long episodes that had been shown on Channel 5 in the week before Xmas. So the kids had seen all the content before!

My little Thomas fan gives this DVD 100/10. Lots of Thomas episodes set in Italy including three 20 minute special episodes. As of Dec 4 2019 none have been aired on UK TV yet.

This is a Xmas gift so don’t know the quality yet

If you have a Thomas fan in your household then this is a must! It's unseen which makes it a brilliant addition to any library. Toot toot!
