Aura CaciaNatural Cocoa Butter, 4 Ounce (113 g)

I'm not sure why the low star reviewers couldn't figure this out, but you use this stuff by microwaving it for a few seconds at a time until it starts to soften to a butter-like consistency. Then you use your fingers to scoop some out and rub it into the skin. It works immediately to soothe chapped, dry skin and heals by sinking deep into the lower epidermal layers and essentially healing from the inside, out. I gave a few chunks to my niece after she had a biopsy that left a painful wound that wasn't healing. She applied Aura Cacia cocoa butter and her wound was almost completely healed by the next morning. I've been using this stuff for years on my very sensitive skin and it works better than any lotion or cream and, believe me, I've tried almost all of them. I love that it's all natural and that it does not contain glycerin. Almost every moisturizer and lotion on the market adds glycerin, which actually dries out the skin when one lives in a dry climate as I do (glycerin sucks moisture out of the closest available source and, in a dry climate, the closest available source is the skin). Aura Cacia Cocoa Butter is a miracle in a jar for me, so please don't let the low reviews be a deterrent to giving it a try. Those folks obviously didn't know how to best use the product. Once you know what to do, it's a fabulous moisturizer and skin healer that is very effective. The chocolate scent is just an added bonus.

I expected this item to be a soft body type butter that you can use. Instead, it is hard and if you want to use it, you must melt/soften it every time.

Smells like chocolate, keeps me moisturized. But because it is natural, it is solid in cold temperatures which makes it a bit hard to apply to skin

I ordered and received the 2 items but one as pictured was opened and some removed the second one was still sealed

Very very very hard and crumbly, must be heated up in a water bath as it never softened for me in a microwave. I guess it is useful for big applications like hair or all-over body treatment but useless for spot applications. Also, vaguely stinky.

This product smells wonderful, but like another reviewer, it's extremely hard to access. I don't own a microwave so it's difficult to soften. I tried putting the container in simmering water. It melted on the bottom but as soon as it's back to room temperature, it gets almost rock solid again. I believe Aura Cacia discontinued this product, and I can see why.

This product is great! I am allergic to perfumes and most lotions and this is great to soften skin and even out skin tone. It is hard as a rock so when i want to use it I microwave it at 20sec or less. If I don't want to microwave it I fill up the bathroom sink with hot water and let it sit inside covered while I shower. When my shower is done it is sufficiently melted for one application.

This product is horrible. It smells like burned butter, the consistency is awful if you can get past the smell. I offered it to three other people as a giveaway and they would not take it. To yourself a favor and try something else. I suppose you get what you pay for

Wonderful product, smelled just like chocolate and made fabulous bath melts. Would definitely buy again!
