Savage Gear Roadrunner XLNT2 Rod

Great service from Reid Outdoors and would happily buy from them again.The travel case the rod comes in is sturdy and fits in my 90litre north face base camp bag perfectly. The rod itself is lightweight and built well. All 4 sections go together nicely and fit securely.Was bought to go on holiday to Mexico as I needed a new travel rod for fishing so now I can't wait.

This rod is mind blowing. Super light yet super strong. It is my favorite lure rod for anything short of a tarpon or tuna now. Used it extensively in Florida and caught tons of mangrove snapper and even a jack crevalle of a few pounds. It has incredibly sensitive action yet it has the backbone to handle pretty large fish. I use it with 10-20lb braid and it works like a charm. Its also super to look at. Really premium product to last for a long time.

Great, powerful little rod but the reel foot is small, so make sure it fit's your reels. Had to file one down and buy a couple of new ones to use..

Rod wasn't used much but when I did decide to use it... it broke on the 4th cast of a 60 gram lure! Rod is rated for 20-80 grams. I'm very disappointed.

Very nice looking rod.Have not used it yet, but can not wait too!!Wanted a strong rod to be used sea fishing in Greece which was capable of both casting and dropping stinger lures up to 60g in weight from both shore and small boat..This rod should do the job well. Its very strong with a sensitive tip which will handle small jigs well.The rod comes in a very strong case so it can slip in to a suitcase without the fear of the rod getting broken in transit..Giving five stars at this time for the first impressions, will up date when given this rod a good workout.

Fit in my carry on. Casted 1 oz weight on Carolina rig into medium surf with good distance and control. Stood in surf and was able to hold rod above breakers Hooked 22 inch striped bass and was a joy to play and land on beach. Got some smallish surf perch and still fun. Overall great travel rod and cool visually as well. Would buy again great value.

Plastic part of ferrule has fallen out after 3 uses... :-(Review upgraded from 2* because even though Savage Gear aren't interested, the vendor has agreed to replace... thanks.

die Rute gefällt mir sehr gut. Wir hatten sie im Segelurlaub in Spanien in Häfen, aber auch beim leichten Schleppen in Einsatz. Ein ziemlicher Stock, obwohl so grazil gebaut, aber ein solches Rückgrat ist für einige Einsätze ja gewünscht. Man kann locker 70-80 g damit werfen, aber im Rahmen einer vernünftigen Bedienung bekommt man auch eine insg. 10g wiegende Posenmontage in die Mitte des Hafenbeckens.Super kurz, aber enorm praktisch, habs ins Handgepäck bei Ryanair bekommen.

Mauvaise expérience pour ma part, la canne s’est brisé lors d un l ancer , Je ne sais pas à quel moment a pu apparaître ce défaut

Bonne qualité de fabrication.Encombrement parfait pour voyager, tient bien dans un sac.Elle s'est battue récemment avec des bars de 1.8 à 2 kg, sans problème particulier.Pour du 4 brins, elle remplit bien le contrat !

schon vorlaufende model haat mich vohl überzeugt. inzwischen meine Liblingsrute für schweres spinnfischen. Auch zuhause will ich die nicht mehr vermissen deswegen zweite gekauft ;-) .
