ThorFire LED Clip Headlamp - 155 Lumen, 3 Modes, Easy To Use, Lightweight

Purchased this light for food delivering. Many times you find yourself needing a light to see down walkways, see addresses on mailboxes, houses, etc. Light to see a customer receipt.. for food delivery at night, a flashlight of some sort is essential.This light, I have to say, is fantastic. I don't normally get too wordy in reviews but this little light has me impressed.It has 3 light modes. All easily accessed through one button. First click is super bright. How bright? I'll get to that in a second....Second click is less bright. This is the mode you would prob use most. Third is flashing. Not sure when you would need a strobing light like that unless you were trying to induce a epileptic seizure in someone but understand it's there, and to turn the unit off you need to click through it every time. Clicking quickly is key....The lens itself projects in and out. With it retracted the beam is wide. Extend the lens and you have a tight area of light coverage. Perfect for not disturbing others in neighborhoods while using it.Which brings me to my last point, and also how bright this thing can be.Having just gotten it, I pulled up to a house at night. It was dark but I could see that the house number was above the garage door. Not having turned it on or adjusted the lensing at all, I pointed it out the car window and clicked once.... so... it was at its highest brightness and its widest area coverage... I can only imagine the person sitting in their living room as I illuminated their entire house as if it was daylight outside. Literally I lit up the whole front of the house with this thing!The light is pretty rugged. The plastic used is the type that doesn't crack easily. I had it sitting in my lap and got out of the vehicle, causing it to tumble on some concrete. Took quite a hit. Works fine.One drawback. I got battery powered rather than rechargeable as it's more versatile in those shtf situations but the 3AAA batteries required make it a little heavy when clipped to a hat brim. If you wear your hat tightly it's prob not a problem.

I’ve been on nights the past two weeks and dealing with paperwork, lantern, and keys become a handful. I bought this to try and it worked great. In full flood the light produces enough light and width to show your foot path with ease. The zoom in on it will help target certain things. ( switch targets, points, etc). It made my work night easier. The batteries held out good for 10 hours or work. With it being turned off and on at various times. But towards the end of the shift, it started to weaken a little. The tip for the electrical tape around the red band helped too. It was only one night of use but I liked the effect it had. I hope it holds up in on rain and bad weather. It wasn’t too heavy on the brim of my hat. You could feel it, but it wasn’t too bad. I hope this info helps someone!

A great and really bright light! Only issue is the red circle is a colored plastic, and when you have the light on your ballcap it is really distracting so I will wrap black tape around it to cut down on this distraction. I may just tape and cover the bottom half and see how that works first. The light is adjustable as described and did I say bright? The pieces (arms) that secure the light to the hat seem to work flawlessly and hold it securely and not to be easily broken as some of the plastic lights (which have in my opinion been a waste of money). The ThorFire product lineup of which I now own two of their products are durable to say the least. I have not been paid or received any benefit from ThorFire for this review. HAPPY NEW YEAR and buy this light if you are outside at night and the price I paid for this light was a "great buy"!

I have purchased numerous ball cap lights for making deliveries in the dark over the last 1 1/2 years. I have yet to find a rechargeable light that holds a charge for more than an hour. I picked this light because it takes 3 AAA batteries and I don’t have to worry about being stranded at a customers door in complete darkness when the rechargeable lights die without warning.Cons: the weight of the light is definitely heavier than the rechargeable lights.The body of the light is definitely made with a lower quality plastic and could easily break if dropped. If you need a light that won’t quit on you, this is the one. Inexpensive, bright and won’t leave you stranded in the dark. I would definitely recommend it.

Easy to use and plenty bright enough for walking the dog, although it is a tad front heavy when clipped to a hat. Moving more weight to the top of the cap's bill might be a better design but so far it hasn't been a problem as is. For the price I'm not complaining. I got a discount by using the Amazon link on ThorFire's website so I'm a happy customer!UPDATE: After two years the clip broke. I kept it on a hat the entire time so it wasn't constantly being stressed by taking it off and on. Last time I used the light it fell off my hat. Not sure if that is when the clip failed or the fall is what broke the clip. Either way I'm not surprised the clip broke since it doesn't look very sturdy. The good news is the light still works after the fall so I might try to find another way to attach it to the hat. I glued the clip that broke but I don't have much faith it will last long. I might also try clipping it to my belt rather than a hat so if the clip does break again it will have a shorter distance to fall.I originally gave it four stars but I've downgraded it to three. It might have had five stars if the clip design was better.

PROS:- Very bright light output from only 1 LED diode- Perfect for walking through the night in the woods or camping as I did- Zooming light allows the dispersion of light to be diminished to create a stronger luminous flux on a narrower area. In other words, you get more light in a focused area- Color temperature: 6000K (Daylight)- Very lightweight and did not cause any neck strain over long usage- Easy to clip on and it is not made cheaply; I don't believe that it will break off easilyCONS:- Requires 3x AAA batteries which are not included- Packaging is unappealing to make it a presentable gift to give to families and friendsTHE BOTTOM LINE:- I find this very useful for specific occasions such as working on some items that require focused light. Because it is only 1 LED, dispersing the light will not be a optimal solution if your expecting to brighten the room. This will come in more handy when the light is focused in a small narrow area, such as a car or campfire. Overall, it is very practical and I will definitely carry this with me on our next trip into the wilderness.

The light is small but throws a very large bright light - pulls a bit on the brim of the hat but it is not too heavy - I'm not sure why it has a flash setting - A lower illumination setting would be better - but the price is good and it is secure by a good clip to the hat brim.

We use this light to walk our dog at the park night where there are no lights. It’s very bright and reaches far enough so we can see where we are going. We put it on our belt and it stays put very well. I only took a star off because it requires 3 AAA batteries which is a little annoying, but otherwise it’s a really good product.

A great headlamp with superior brightness. There are two light settings - one high brightness and the other somewhat less. I have found the lower setting to be great for dog walking at night. Lots of power to shine brightly at least 50 feet on the low setting! While it may be a git heavier than other cap lights, I find the extra brightness well worth it.

Firstly, this small light comes very well-packaged and securely wrapped.You cannot use it as soon as you receive it as it needs some 3 x AAA batteries..The overall design of the light is good, I liked this touch of red.For the functionality, I was really hopping something stronger in term of lux, I have a second small light that is 3LED lights with only two CR25 batteries that give way stronger light !There is a small ring to get a zoomed light halo, but I use the wide halo and not the small "laser" option....
