The following review is for the 65" version of this TV.Stunning TV in every aspect, I am totally blown away. This coming from a long time plasma owner and fanboy. This is by far the best 65" set I've ever had the pleasure of owning. LCD technology has finally progressed to the point that it's worth investing in, even with such advancements as OLED coming around the corner. The picture quality is absolutely stunning, especially when fed from a quality high definition source. Bluray's pop off of the screen and come to life inside of this TV. The 3D is truly killer on this set, the best that I have seen, and I think part of the immersion is created by the curved screen. There's no crosstalk to speak of and 3D movies are easy to watch with no eye strain with the included 4 pairs of glasses. Even standard definition broadcasts look better than expected with this TV. I've always avoided SD sources on HDTV's like the plague because of how bad they look, but this TV makes them acceptable enough to watch. One of my biggest fears buying and LCD TV was horrible motion blur and ghosting especially being a big fan of football. The first time I watched a football game all of my anxiety was laid to rest as the image was razor sharp and fast panning shots were handled with ease, this is when I know that I had without question made the right decision buying this TV.The out of the box settings as usual and to be expected were pretty bad. After calibrating the set with the S&M 2nd Edition disc everything really came to life. The biggest and best change was toning the sharpening levels way down. Out of the box, this is set to 50 in Standard mode and 20 in Movie mode which is ridiculously high that it degrades the picture quality a LOT by introducing a lot of motion artifacts. I turned sharpening down to 3, and that's really when I felt the picture was as clean and beautiful as possible. I also turned off most all of the gimmicky features that this set boasts and felt the picture quality was improved by doing this. The only options that I left enabled were Smart LED (which is the local dimming ability) which really makes the blacks nice and deep and Cinema Black (only when watching movies) which keep the top and bottom bars ultra black. Some of the other settings are nice but they all come with a downside and that is usually a sucker punch to detail. Digital Clean View does clean up the picture a bit by sharpening edges and removing some image noise, but in doing so you lose detail (I was no longer able to see light rain in one movie when enabling this feature, and in another movie it took away the skin detail quite a bit on closeup face shots), therefore I keep this feature off. I like to see my content as it was recorded and intended. Dynamic Contrast is another included feature which I felt just gave the image too much contrast at any level and would turn a lot of areas completely black where you would otherwise be able to pull out some detail, so again I leave this option off as well. The design of the TV is very elegant, it looks great in any room, and people that see it WILL comment on how awesome it is. The stand setup in my opinion is a little weak, as the TV will sway easily back and forth with a bump, but it is sturdy, it's certainly not going to fall over or break. The wobbliness at first is a bit concerning though. The stand also puts the TV at a very slight angle leaning back (we're talking ever so slightly, you'd need to hold a level up to the edge of the TV to be able to notice this). It doesn't have any effect on picture quality, it is very slight, but worth noting none the less.Every other review on here praising this TV is absolutely correct. Trust these reviews, this TV is the real deal for 1080P Full HD sets. Just do yourself a favor, GET THIS TV NOW!!! Seriously, what are you waiting for, order it!***UPDATE 9/18/14***I have decided to get a replacement unit shipped out to me after getting to spend an adequate amount of time with it in the dark. I have what I believe to be an unacceptable level of clouding and flashlighting. It should certainly be better for a $2800 set. Hoping that the new set is a better copy than the current. I'm very picky about my picture and during dark scenes the black uniformity is distracting to me.This set was manufactured in August 2014 with a TD02 panel, for reference purposes.I'll update again once I get a chance to test out the new set.***UPDATE 9/24/14***My replacement set came today and I am happy to report that it has PERFECT black uniformity! There is absolutely no flashlighting. Straight out of the box, there was some very very minor clouding in 2 spots on the screen but after gently massaging these two areas of the screen with a microfiber cloth the clouding has completely disappeared giving me a 100% uniform panel! This set was also manufactured in August and also has a TD02 panel. The moral of the story is to check your uniformity first and foremost when you get your set, if you are not happy with how it looks, exchange it until you get a good one.Amazon was awesome with the exchange. No questions asked delivery and pickup of the old set. I love Amazon!

Usually don't leave a review, this TV is excellent!
UPDATE:I am looking to sell this product for $2,100 (tax included obviously). Pick up only in New York area. The TV is just too close to where I sit in the living room and it's hurting my eyes. I love this TV to death but I will be buying a 55' instead. This is a steal considering what I paid for it.---------------------I usually do not leave reviews. But for this one, I felt like I had to. First and most importantly, the screen is glass finish. NOW, for many of you, this is the most important thing you need to know when buying a TV. Glass finish will give a better depth, crisper and plasma like picture image. Opposed to a matte finish which will depend on the pixels and background lighting to produce good sollid quality image. If you want to test this theory, go to a local Best Buy and stand in front of a glass finish and matte finish. Then walk up, look close at the picture and you will see the pixel outlines are much more noticea on a matte finish than glass. Glass conceals it very well. Anyway, that being said, rule of thumb, if you watch lots of TV during the day and want to put a TV smack in the middle of windows with lots of sun light, do not go with glass finish because of glare. Thats staight forward, right? But technology advanced far enough where you do not have to sacrifice image quality and go with a matte finish because you have a well-light sunlight room. This TV has the most advanced technology to minimize glare. I have this TV wall mounted right adjacent to a window on the top floor of my co-op, and it is GREAT. If it's great during the day, night time is beyond spectacular. Trust me.Next thing everyone should look at when buying a TV is contrast and black levels. Last thing you want is to watch a movie where, lets say, someone is in a dark cave, and the director wants you to get a goose-bump feel of being in a dark unknown - but you can't, because your TV shows black images as dark dark grey, or as many say, black with background lighting. Now with this TV does an excellent job with black, it goes completely black as if someone shut off the TV.But then you have to look at uniformity, because, let's say, the director wants you to focus on a small lighted gem in the middle of the cave. With many TVs, the background lighting will have to adjust up so that the gem can be seen. In this TV and its technology, it is able to control every single pixel. Meaning, the whole TV will be true black, while the gem is the only object that is lit. It does also a great job at controlling pixel light to affect other "turned off" pixels around it, so it produces great contrast uniformity.Everything else I have to say is about picture quality, but as many of the other reviews indicate, the picture quality is great. I just had to mention the two main points above because that is most important for TV buyers. Now I will end with saying this, this TV is not 4K as you already know. People say they can not tell the difference between 4K and this TV and I have to disagree. You can tell the difference, I mean, go to your local Best Buy and see the demos, you will see a difference with 4K demos and other 1080p demos.BUT what I will say is that this TV has the most advanced features you can get on a 1080p. When watching 1080p movies/shows, picture quality will come extremely close to 4K, with the best contrast level and black uniformity you can get. I'm sure you can spend triple the price and get a 4K TV with the same advanced features to get best contract level and black uniformity that this TV have, but some people are not willing to spend 6K+ on a TV. Plus, all movies on TV,NetFlix are 1080p anyway so I rather have them look the best I can get it and this TV does the job.Hope this helps.

Picture quality is very good. Audio is adequate but I have it hooked to a surround sound so tv audio speakers don't get used much. Only gave it 4 stars as I'm just trying to figure out if a little blurryness from the picture quality is from my cable provider or my tv. I find the curve minimizes he glare from the window depending where you sit in the room which is very nice.
