Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Shave Soap Refill

I decided to get into shaving soaps as an alternative for my sensitive skin. Though not absolutely required, a few drops pre-shave oil, applied directly after ample application of warm water to area to be shaved, goes a long way. I also recommend using a shaving brush made up of badger hair as badger hair seems best at producing the best lather with less application. After this we are all ready to go.I prefer to use Mach III razors with a battery to make it vibrate. The vibration is supposed to make facial hair respond in a way that allows a smoother, closer shave with the least application. Post shave, I apply Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food. It should be noted that though the Skin Food can be used both before and after shaving, I prefer to use a separate oil dedicated to Pre Shave as these are typically infused with eucalyptus and other oils designed specifically for that purpose.The end result. I have never had such a smoother face. I do not even think my face was this smooth back before I started shaving. There is virtually no irritation. The smell is great, as well. I believe Sandalwood is The Best Trumper I have tried so far.

Provides for a pleasant shave with no aroma. Use it in conjunction with an inexpensive black plastic shaving brush holder and plastic travel case for my Gillette Mach 3 razor. Have had 20 shaves so far and it appears that the soap will last for months. Suggest you take your shaving brush and spread it against the sink while the water is running so that the entire shaving brush is wet when lathering. Also, I purchased a wooden soap holder which is superior to a "cold" metal holder or plastic holder. Best part is that I had a handy ledge built under my mirror to hold all my shaving and other necessities. Now, the shaving items are handy and the sink surface is best used for other items. I had used an inexpensive shaving soap prior to the Geo F. Trumper sandalwood shaving soap but now I have found the right brand.The sandalwood shave soap is a major part in making shaving a pleasant experience each day. I am sold on the soap.

Great product for clean close shaves. Rinses from razors easily and completely. Works well regardless of the water harness/mineral content. Great product that I have used for years with consistent quality. I have used this with double edged razors, headblade shavers and Harry’s razors and works well with all.

I really like the smell of this one and how long it lasts (I shave my head - this is very important to me)It lathers well, but it's a bit thin for my taste as far as a lather goes. As a not here, I only use distilled water to lather with.

A fair number of years ago I purchased a wooden shaving bowl with soap by Geo F. Trumper, along with a brush. Over the years since, I have tried many different shaving soaps and have never quite been as satisfied as I was with my original Geo F. Trumper Shave Soap, so I purchased a Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Shave Soap Refill on Amazon and I now realize why I liked it so much. It produces a wonderful lather and has a delightful odor. I strongly recommend this product.

Nearly impossible to scrape up enough to get a decent lather. They're in my underwear drawers now!

While somewhat expensive, the quality of the products are really extraordinary! I love to shave with their Sandalwood shave soap in my dish, and use their complementary and effective Sandalwood deodorant!

My small puck of shaving soap got shipped in a box that would hold a German Shepherd, but it arrived safely! :P I love Trumper's product and I especially their Sandalwood Cologne. This shaving soap refill is a nice addition. It does not smell like the full cologne -- it only has the sandalwood undertone but it blends nicely.

Like most I shave every day and this soap lasts well over a year and smells good.

... nothing to tell anymore, it's the best of the best. Period.I buy this regulary for the last 20 years, hopefully for the next 20 years too.
