Worth the purchase-bought for son & friend too!
Perfect tool for my needs. Good quality construction as well. Very reasonable price. I actually ended up buying another for my son and another for a friend!

Useful tool
I bought this to help with doing my leather work and it grabs the needle without any slippage to pull it through. Works well and doesn't cause my hand any pain to push the needle through.

nice in conjunction with the roundnose pliers from the same product line
I bought both a pair of roundnose pliers and these. They are very similar tools, save for the shape of the noses, and they are from the same manufacturer and are of about the same size and same quality, so the reviews will be similar. I decided I wanted to start making chainmaille-style jewelry. I am not sure which metal I will eventually settle on (right now I am just playing around with copper since I have a lot of it and it is inexpensive) so I wanted a separate set of pliers that I could dip in Tool Magic in case I eventually start working with anodized or enameled metals. (I also got some roundnose pliers from the same brand.) These didn't break the bank and I can always use them for my other jewelry-making applications if I end up not liking chainmalle (though right now I find it pretty fun). Anyway, as I said, I've been using plain, bare copper (while I wait for my Tool Magic to arrive). It has a hard temper but I do all right bending the jump rings open and closed using these in my lefthand (the roundnose pliers, I use in my right hand). I think these work for me because they are relatively small. I have small hands, and I can get a good grip on these, and that makes it easier to manipulate the metal I am working with. These are smooth but they do have an edge and I have marred the surface of some jump rings as I get the hang of using them. It doesn't bother me much because I am just doing practice weaves right now and I have a protective coating on order that should prevent that problem in the future. I would probably stick to using these on softer metals -- copper, silver, brass, maybe niobium or aluminum. I think using them on hardened steel would not work very well. I would also stick to using them for jewelry applications and not put them in a general toolbox for household work. Anyway, I was looking for a set of economy pliers to try with a new craft and that's what I got with these.

Surprisingly good for a budget priced tool!
I got a few pairs of these as inexpensive starter tools for crafting leather & chainmail. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality for such a budget item. So far, I like them a lot and I have been using them for all sorts of projects. I would definitely recommend them and I will likely buy them again, should I wear these out and need more.

nice tweezers
Nice tweezers, but they are open in the middle, they don't apply much pressure.
