This series is so good
This is a class A author that has fortunately graced us with a paranormal series of epic proportions. The witty banter is not overdone just a chef's kiss amount that leaves you craving for more.

I've read and listened to this book multiple times. I really enjoy this book and would highly recommend other people to read/listen to it and this part of the Guild codex series.*Spoilers*I really like the dynamic between Zylas and Robin. Zylas is a fascinating character and one of my favorites. I feel like I can kind of understand Robin a bit better compared to Tori as we share similar traits, such as being shy, being extremely polite at times, and disliking confrontation. I had read that someone else found Robin to have a rather black and white point of view (which I think changes later on) but I don't entirely grasp what they meant, as they had said that she later on learns to understand the morally gray side of things, where it takes violence to protect what is important or to do similar thing bad to get to your goal kind of thing.I think my favorite scene is when Darius, Girard, and Alistair arrive to save Robin, Zylas, Amalia, and Travis. And also the moment when they find out Zylas is not a properly contracted demon. That scene is absolutely hilarious. I am curious though. It always confuses me when Zylas says that Darius used his light magic on him and he'd already figured out that Zylas wasn't properly contracted because it didn't work on him. Like, when did that happen? Zylas was already down for the count when they appeared, unless Zylas had noticed them before the battle started or when Zylas had first arrived to save Robin, as Robin only met Darius once before and Zylas had been in the infernous. When exactly did they arrive or how long have they been there? Were they there from the beginning? I kind of doubt it since I would think they would have stepped in once they saw that Red Rum was keeping them hostage. Why did Darius say he always wondered why his light magic never worked on a demon? Has he went up against a unbound or a not properly contracted demon before? I wonder what exactly changed Darius's mind to not kill Zylas, as it seemed like he was trying not to laugh at their bickering towards the end.I also have to wonder, how did Zak get his hands on the purple cape artifact since it was mentioned in this book to have been sold to someone in England? Unless Zak travels around more than I realized or he purchased it/stole it from someone else. It is Interesting though that it was originally in a dark fae druids hands before it was stolen and is now in Zak's hands, who is also a druid. There seems to be quite a few famous druids, as I think there have been two so far named, both seemed to be evil though. Is it a coincidence that Robin's father worked at bank that allowed demon contractors? Even if it was mainly for security. Also, what was with all of the old romance novels Robin kept finding in the library and storage room? Did they belong to Amalia'a mother or Kathy? Or did Uncle Jack have a secret obsession with them? It just seemed rather odd that there would be so many of them, and if I recall correctly, the ones in the storage room had been the same books or similar copies as the ones in the library.I will admit though that during this read through that Robin's righteousness to fight the winged demon and nearly getting Zylas killed annoyed me a bit, but she realized her mistake and made it up to him along with figuring out that they need to work together as a team.I am pretty sure Robin has been attracted and intrigued by Zylas since the very beginning, but I'm not sure when Zylas started to like her as well. I really don't know where he stands is the thing.

interesting world of magic & demons
Robin is an unassuming newly orphaned adult, who finds herself in a series of unusual and surprising situations, including becoming a demon contractor. The story is a slow build but worth it.

I was sucked into a world of contractors and demons. Each time I sat to read, I lost track of time completely zoned into this world. I need part two.

Fantastic
Another winning novel by Annette Marie who is quickly becoming 1 of my favorite authors. Her spellbound series enthralled me, demonized threatens to do the same. An excellent read I'd highly recommend.

Fun quirky read
I love Robin. She is sweet and a big nerd but it's great. I love the tidbits of information you gather along the way and trying to guess what is happening. And their relationship is hilarious. A forced acceptance of each other that somehow works perfectly.

Good new series in author's Guild Codex world
Fun - a new series set in the author's Guild Codes: Spellbound world. Heroine is a tad stereotypical of the genre - orphan, taken in by uncaring family, uses baking as a stress soother, ignorant of her heritage... but she's a decent soul with a strong sense of right and wrong, with backbone when the chips are down, and who knew? Demons like cake! This is tightly written, with no flagging, introduces characters from the Spell bound series, and while things end tidily, there's a lot more to come.

A good read
Another good book from Annette Marie. The story is told from Robins POV. The world and character building is brilliant. The storyline builds with plenty of mystery and action. So it has depth and is written well. Ive had this in my 'to read' list for ages as the cover didnt inspire me to read it needless to say I cant wait to read the second in the series. Highly recommended.

Demons and magic
Wow, without spoiling anything. OK so this is my first book from this author, so I was kind of unsure. This book was absolutely amazing, I instantly fell in love with the main characters. The storyline had me completely engrossed, so many emotions I could barely keep up. I can safely say I will be reading every single book by Annette Marie, I was totally blown away by probably one of the most incredible stories I've read about Demons.

I enjoyed it
Annette Marie can be hit or miss for me and I think this one was more of a hit even if it wasn’t perfect. But I like where this is going and it has real potential. I’d be interesting to see how the relationship will develop between Robin and Zylas as well as all the mystery with demons and Robin’s uncle.
