This is exactly what I needed! I was tired of trying to sort pictures and get them all on my computer and remembering to schedule time to do so. I also needed a backup of those copies in case something happened to the first. I had collected over 3,000 pictures on my phone from some vacations and the software that automatically pulls down pics off my phone was giving me grief because it couldn't handle the task. I don't like to delete any of my pics especially from travel as I sometimes find one I didn't know I had and print it on canvas for my walls. I had a USB device that I could plug in my phone using a program and choose what photos to download but it's size was limited and it often download duplicates which is annoying when you have so many pictures. This device solved all my problems. It knows where it last stopped and picks up there and doesn't create duplicates which is an abosolute MUST! I already had quality micro sd cards so I used my own and it was so easy! Now when I plug in my phone it just takes seconds after the initial first backup. I also used it to transfer large video files from my ipad to another device that I had taken with a GoPro and edited. It worked like a charm. I used the device to help my husband back up his files from his phone onto his own micro sd card. We did have one small issue with his, it kept hanging in one spot and not moving forward, file #774 to be exact. I checked the micro sd card to see what the last file it downloaded was and then went to his phone and found the next file which was a very long video that he didn't need or want anymore. We deleted it and voila, it continued. Not sure what we would have done if he wanted that video...maybe put it directly on a computer before deleting or air dropping it to his ipad before deleting off his phone. After that snafu, it worked great. I was puzzled because my backup had no problems at all but we solved his and went on our merry way. After reading troubleshooting, it did say if you have a corrupt file it may cause it problems. The convenience of plugging it in and knowing things back up is great and it will be a must have when I go on vacation again and take lots and lots of photos. In fact everyone in our house will have their micro-sd with them on vacation so we can all back up our photos right when we are on our extended vacations taking hundreds of pictures! Great product!

I have been trying and trying to find something to use as an external backup for all of my photos and videos on my phone. I'm sick of paying the monthly for the iCloud upgrade and knew there had to be something out there that could eliminate that cost for me. I am so pleased with this little thing. It is so easy to use, and my goodness it's fast. I put my micro sd card in it, plugged it in with an Apple lightning cord like the instructions say to do, and within 45 min it had gone through and uploaded over 5000 photos and videos. I can't recommend it enough!

Needs clarification : must add Sims card

This is a great product the first back up takes a while especially if your phone has a lot on it but it is quite convenient to plug your phone up at night for a charge and wake up the next morning with it completely backed up. I selected three stars for storage because once you receive the cube you have to purchase a micro SD card of sufficient size to complete your back up no storage comes with the cube.

UPDATE3/9/21The item stopped working. I can't plug it into a PC or an iPhone, it just doesn't get recognized. When I return to the page where I purchased it, the item had been pulled down which seems suspicious. I've only used it once before to backup photos and that was in Nov. 2020 when I first purchased it. Now it's not working, the listing is gone, and Amazon can't help. Beware!11/1/20Arrived on time and seems to work well. The user interface is a little clunky but works well enough to get by.

For some reason I don’t like iCloud. I wanted to backup my photos on computer, it was a terrible process ! Using this little magic product I did this from the first time, then gave it to me wife and my sone to backup their photos . Thank you for such a good product

The app and set up was very easy and it easily backed up all my photos. I back up everything about once a week. This allows me to quit paying for cloud service for backup.

[Updated Review]: After a day or two playing this device, I managed to get it to work. I would bump the rating to 3. There are two details I noticed:(1) The cable. One of the lightening cables I used was not stable. That caused the disconnect. Replacing the cable made a big difference.(2) The size of the SD card. It looks like the device was less stable when the micro SD is 75% full (guestimate, didn't do further analysis. Switched to a much bigger micro SD card and I was able to download all the photos (the photos were about 200G bytes)During one of the disconnects (in the middle of the backup), the SD card was corrupted (no longer accessible by windows). I had to do format the card. So be aware of that.[Original Review]Initial test was good: easy to set up, and start to back up photos from my iphone (iphone 13). From the Qubii Pro app, I saw the files being copied to the MicroSD card. Half way through the transfer (1300 out of 2500 photos), the app reported Qubii Pro disconnected (however the phone is still being charged). I tried different ways to reconnect the device (plug/unplug, restart Qubiii Pro app). I was able to restart the backup process but didn't last long.. it keeps disconnecting from iphone.Interestingly, as I was watching the screen, I could see it would reconnect itself and then disconnect again.Given it does not run reliably, I will return the device.
