What is the actual weight stack provided with this gym?

There are 15 10lb plates that come with the unit. The part on the gym that actually moves the weights up and down is another 10 or so lbs. So the total weight amount is 160lbs. Make sure when your placing the weight number stickers on the plates you start with #1 on the gym part that moves up and down. The numbered stickers 2-16 go on the plates.

What is the max weight on the stack of weights?

There are two weight stacks, each holding 210 lbs (20 x 10lb plates plus the 10lb top plate). The leg press station has a 2:1 ratio resulting in up to 420 lbs resistance. Additional plates can be purchased in 2.5 or 5 lb increments and can be placed on top of the stack. This information can be confirmed on the bodysolid web page (under the features section).

Will this actually assemble in a basement with a height of 84"?

Just. The height of the two high points are 82" That leaves little room for working on the top pulleys.
