SPIDER HOLSTER – SpiderPro Camera Hand Strap v2 with Snap Assembly and Optional Wrist Strap – DSLR and Mirrorless Compatible

This hand strap is awesome. I am using this in conjunction with a black rapid chest strap and it works great. The adjustments on this are very easy and installation is very quick and clear with the instructions provided. I first used this on a trip to New York and found that with my hand in the hand strap I was able to quickly bring my camera up to capture those quick photos. It also gives me a little bit of sense of security that my hand is around the camera and can't be snatched quickly from me. I've now use this for my children's sporting events and it allows the camera to act as an extension of my hand. On a Canon EOS 6D there is a slight interference with the door to the flashcards. I find I have to push the strap slightly out-of-the-way in order to open the door and get the card out. This is not a big deal as it is just a simple adjustment each time I open the door. The top of the hand strap is very secure into the built-in strap ring on the camera in the bottom of the strap is secure via a long plastic adjustable strap that goes under the included washers and screws they give you. Again, I am using this with a black rapid and they provide instructions on how to incorporate both this hand strap and the black rapid strap together.

I never really liked using a neck strap. It always seemed to get in the way whenever I wanted to take a picture...Heaven forbid that you would ever want to take a picture in portrait mode. So, I purchased a couple of "cheap" Hand straps through Amazon, and they worked okay, although they never really fit that well on my hand. They were either too tight, or too loose. or rode too high or to low on the back of my hand. It was hard to reach some of the buttons on my camera sometimes. But, even with all of that, I still liked it better than using a neck strap ( I do have Peak Design anchor links on my camera for those times that I might need a neck strap. easy on, easy off). I use a Nikon D750, and I just recently put a battery grip on it...add a Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 on that, and you have a pretty heavy kit....My cheapie hand straps could not handle all the weight and keep my hand from being uncomfortable. Enter the Spider-Pro Hand Strap. I have had mine for about a month and a half now. First of all, this is a pro grip for pro cameras ( I believe that Spider Holster makes a hand Strap for smaller DSLR's), it fits great on my D750 with a grip. Without the grip, I think that it would be way too big for my camera. I read a lot of reviews, and saw some pics, so I had a pretty good idea that this was the right strap for my camera. I know the price seemed a little high, but if you are going to put a lot of money into a camera and lenses, why not spend a little more on a hand strap? I think that it is definitely worth it. Secondly....The fit. It is so nice to slip your hand into the strap, and with little or no effort, and have your camera feel secure in your hand. It is very soft on the back of your hand, and it doesn't feel confining. It is very easy to move your hand and fingers around and touch all of the buttons that you need. Adjustment is easy, and it doesn't take long to have it fit perfect on your hand.I definitely recommend watching the "how to" video on how to install it on your camera. Thirdly, It doesn't get in the way. It is flexible enough to get out of your way if you need to move it out of your way for a second, and yet it will hold it's shape. I keep my camera in a camera bag that fits very snug around my camera, and I was afraid that the Spider-Pro would be in the way whenever I put my camera in the bag...Guess what? No Problem! It presses into my camera when I put it away, and goes back to shape when I take it out. I can still access my SD card slot on my camera. The strap does not interfere when I turn the camera to use it in portrait mode. Fourthly, it just looks good. The stitched leather looks great attached to my camera. It does not look cheap. It has a Pro quality look to it. Like I said before, if you are going to spend all that money on a camera and lenses, don't go cheap on the hand grip. Okay, now the bad parts... first of all, the extra little piece of leather that they give you for extra support to secure your camera to your hand, is just that, a piece of leather...I'm sorry Spider Holster, but you did such a great job with the stitching on the actual hand strap, why didn't you do the same thing on this part of the strap... and then they put these big old clunky "snaps" on the strap to connect the extra strap to it...There has got to be a cleaner way to do that. The other thing about the strap, which is just a common problem with all hand straps, especially if you have a battery grip...You have to take your hand out of the strap to turn your camera to portrait mode. So, hopefully you have a good hold on your camera, and you don't drop it...well, at least you don't have to worry about the Spider-Pro Hand-strap getting in the way of the buttons. So, to sum it up......I know that it is quite an investment for a hand-strap for your camera, but really, for the comfort, the practicality, and the way it looks on your camera, spend the money, you will be glad you did. I'm glad I did. Stay Focused.

Excellent quality - enables you to hold the camera securely while providing full dexterity of the fingers

I'd been seeing ads for the Spider Holster for weeks in my instagram and facebook feeds and I've wanted a good handstrap for a number of years so I decided to try it. I had a couple of middling-to-poor experiences with other handstraps in years past, but I can definitely say that this Spider Holster is going to erase those memories for good. It's dead simple to install for most, but there are detailed instructions for a variety of installation scenarios so you've got options. I've used the Spider Holster now for a couple of months and I'm totally in love with it. The holster comes in a variety of styles and materials, but I wanted the basic black leather strap. The Spider Holster is durable, looks good and probably most important, it's comfortable, which is key for long periods holding a camera. The holster fits your hand so well that it's possible to relax my grip on the camera and let it 'hang' from my hand for short periods to give my hand a bit of a rest. There's a wrap-around strap that you can affix around your wrist that holds the holster even more securely in your hand to prevent you from accidentally dropping the camera. Totally a five-star purchase!

My camera is Nikon D3300 and I personally do not like neck straps - especially in the summer - so wanted a handstrap instead. I had a high expectation on this product after researching about many options on handstraps. I like this product for its ergonomic design with nice velvet finish inside that touches your hand, not to mention adjustable bottom and additional wrist strap - this made me purchase it despite its relatively high price to its competitors. But when I took out the product out of the Amazon delivery box, 1st thing noticed was that the product box sticker seal was previously opened and resealed apparently, making me wonder if this product is brand new or used - the product itself seemed undamaged though. When I tried to install on my D3300, I quickly realized the plastic head of the strap is too small/short for the slot. Nikon D3300 has deep 90 degree angled side slot on both sides and this handstrap's plastic head won't fit perfectly. Its top part of the plastic head is a round notch that should go through the slot and make a grip through the slot but it simply won't reach through the slot due to its short length. The bottom part of the handstrap's plastic head has a sharp notch that provides firm support on the bottom part of camera slot, but because the rounded top notch of the handstrap can't reach through the slot (squeeze bent inside the camera slot angle instead), it doesn't stay in place. Because of this, even after I made as tight strap as possible on the top, the plastic head of the strap slips off the slot, resulting in just strap without the plastic head in the slot. To make this product truly universally compatible, this plastic head should be made adjustable as the plastic bottom of the strap. At this point, I gave 3 star due to great design other than this plastic head part (which might fit other camera model slots) - one glitch to the design! I will decide whether to return it or not, but I wrote to the company about the issue and waiting for the reply. Update will be posted upon receiving company's response. UPDATE: I have received a prompt response from the company which was impressive. This product was designed for high-end pro-grade heavy camera, so may not fit to consumer grade smaller camera like D3300. Spiderpro seems to have responded to consumer grade camera owners' need - they created light-version hand strap. The following is company's response: I’m sorry it’s not a good fit for your D3300. The SpiderPro Hand Strap was designed for Pro level bodies, that is larger camera bodies like the D800s and D610s, D1s, Canon 5Ds, etc. It is not well suited for some of the smaller body consumer size cameras. Our new Spider Light Hand Strap is really a better fit for your camera. Feel free to return it to the place of purchase. For a novice level starter like me, it is difficult to know it was only designed for a pro-grade device, not consumer grade light devices.

I don’t like camera neck straps, belt clips, holsters, etc. as I find them cumbersome and obtrusive so I purchased the original Spider-Pro Hand Strap for my 5D bodies, shortly after it was released I think, and the straps have been attached ever since. So when I purchased a smaller camera - a Fuji X-T2 - I was happy to see that this strap was available to fit that as well. The upper attachment point on this smaller version is a bit different and kind of funky, but it works well to place the strap most comfortably on your wrist. Like its big brother, this strap fits well, is very comfortable for long periods, provides sufficient access to all camera controls, and provides for quickest response when photo opportunities show themselves. Replacing the camera battery is hindered just a bit, but not enough to really bother me. I found it easy to install and I use it in concert with an L bracket. On occasion, I find need to use a neck strap and, with minor modification, I can attach it while the hand strap remains attached. True, the hand strap requires minimal effort (like, 30-60 seconds worth?) to remove and attach if you need to do so, but that doesn’t bother me as I like it enough to keep it attached pretty much all the time anyway. Do I feel it is as comfortable in use as the larger Spider-Pro strap is on larger bodies? Probably not (hence 4 rather than 5 stars), but I feel it’s still much better than other methods of carrying the camera. Clearly, everybody has their own preferences and comfort zones but, for me, this strap is just fine; it’ll stay on my camera, I’d buy it again, and I’d recommend it to anyone considering it.

This hand strap is excellent. It feels and looks very well made and just screams of a quality product. It fits very well and is perfect for all hand sizes, small to large. I have a D7200 with battery grip and large hands. This strap fits perfectly and can still be resized at least 2 inches larger. the connections are very secure and it works will any additional attachments. The only thing that I don't like about it is the additional wrist strap. This is a simple piece of leather and does not fit all hand sizes well. With my large hands, the wrist strap is just a little too tight and would not be comfortable for long use. Also, it does not allow for "quick release" and is not practical for anyone who raises and lowers their camera often, such as at a wedding, photo shoot, hiking, sight seeing, etc. However, because it is secured with 2 snaps, it can easily be removed and not used. Overall, this is the best hand strap I have ever used and I have used 5 different ones, all of them being cheap in price and quality. Spend the extra money and get this quality strap!

I purchased the hand strap as a replacement for the Canon neck strap because I hate wearing those around my neck. I read a lot of reviews on Amazon and decided to try the Spider Camera Holster even though it cost more than what I was looking to spend. All I can say is that it is well worth the money. I'm not a professional photographer, or even an avid one really -- I just like being able to take nice pictures of places I visit. I installed the strap on my Canon EOS Rebel T4i in June, just before my vacation to visit the Big Island of Hawaii. I used the strap every day while we were there, whether site seeing in town, or hiking Waimea Valley or the Kilauea Iki Trail. Likes: Quality of the leather is excellent - soft and supple. It didn't require any "break-in" period to make it comfortable for use Adjustability - I was able to adjust the hand strap so it fit my hand well but still allowed me to reposition camera to be able to review the pictures on the LCD screen Lining - the inside of the hand strap is padded and covered in soft material that looks like velor Safety Strap - I liked the fact that the strap has the secondary safety strap that allowed me to just hang my hand by my side without fear of dropping the camera Dislikes None really, other than the fact that the camera didn't fit in my camera bag as easily as it did with the neck strap. But that was to be expected because of how the how the strap attaches to the frame of the camera Some people posted questions asking if the strap would fit on the Txi frame Canon EOS Rebel cameras, so I've included photos of the strap installed on my camera.

Beste Handschlaufe für APS-C Kameras. Gute Verarbeitung gute Einstellungsmöglichkeiten um einen bequemen sicheren Halt in der Hand zu haben dazu nichts unnötiges was beim Stativ montieren oder ähnlichem stören würde.

Cet objet est tout bonnement génial. Je l'utilise sur mon D7200 avec grip supplémentaire pour tous mes événements et soirées et je n'ai plus de crampes comme j'en avais avant. Une fois adapté à la taille de votre main, le confort est juste parfait. C'est un accessoire de qualité. J'ai beaucoup hésité à l'acheter car c'est impossible de le tester en Belgique vu qu'il ne se vend dans aucun magasin donc c'était un risque, mais ça en valait la peine! Avant, pour mes événements, mon boitier était juste couplé à ma sangle carry speed, mais maintenant que j'ai cette dragone, il ne quitte plus ma main, et dans le cas où c'est nécessaire, je l'accroche vite à ma sangle et mes deux mains sont libres. Franchement petit accessoir idéal qui a fait la différence pour moi! Je le recommande vivement aux photographes qui font beaucoup d'événements et qui veulent une sécurité et un confort en plus. Seul bémol c'est que je ne l'utilise qu'avec le grip supplémentaire sur mon boitier, sans quoi ne confort n'est plus le même. Mais je pense qu'avec un boitier plus large tel que le D500 ou un boitier FX ce soucis se pose moins.

Nella recensione/pubblicità fatta dall'azienda che lo vende sembra praticamente perfetto ma non è tutto sto granché. Sicuramente è meglio di molte cinesate ma con un prezzo cosí alto mi aspettavo molto di più. Non so neanche se insieme posso attaccarci una corda per appenderla al collo. Per lo meno línstallazione non è cosi difficile come la fanno sembrare. Lo consiglio se avete soldi da spendere.
