DIY that won't disappoint!
This product is awesome! I'm usually not one to write reviews or post any pictures, but this product exceeded my expectations. I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and the highlights had become so hazy that it was distracting; both to drive and to look at. So shopping around to get them restored was easily going to cost me over $70. Of course my brain is like screw that, Let's DIY it and I promptly had Pinterest flashbacks! After a lot of reviews and a lot of YouTube's, I decided on the 3M kit. I bought two kits per suggestion of the reviews due to the size and the extent of damage in my headlights. Once I received the kits and read the directions a few hundred times(also YouTube again), I was ready to get started! I used painter's tape to frame the headlight and I already had a cordless drill so I was ready to go! When you first start, you do question your judgement skills and if you made the right decision. No worries, it will work out and keep the drill moving continuously over the headlight. I will tell you the first step in the the sanding process is the most important, if you take your time and are diligent on the first part the other steps are a lot easier! It took me about a day to do a headlight, mainly because I had to recharge the drill (Harbor Freight less than $20). I picked up a UV headlight spray from Wal-Mart to seal the headlight once I was done. I did use one kit per headlight which I recommend. All in all, the only major investment is your time and energy. The results were well worth it!

Keep these on the shelf always, use this kit annually, perfect results every time.
I bought my first 3m headlight cleaning lens kit quite some time ago (many years) with extreme success every time. the kit lasted me all that time until I abused it so I needed a replacement. I polish our cars headlights once a year and our cars (12-15 years old) look like they have new headlights every year. I've parked next to newer cars with cloudy headlights at work and my co-works have asked how I keep mine looking so go. :) Tips - Following the instructions they'll recommend that you use sandpaper first to sand out the big scratches. I did that the first time but learned that unless you actually have big deep scratches you don't really need to. I start with polishing compound (I buy it in the bottle) and apply I too the sponge and smear it around the headlight. Then run the sponge on the drill covering the light for a few minutes on low speed. I take a break and let the polishing compound dry until it's mostly dry and then I run the drill again at medium speed (without cleaning off the polishing compound in the sponge) for a few minutes until I've thoroughly made my way slowly across the whole lens "polishing" it. I'll then wipe off the polishing compound and see if it needs another go. If still cloudy, I re-do it using rubbing compound (rubbing compound has a coarser grit and is more aggressive). When done I store the drill adapter and sponge pad assembled in the original package.

Works excellent
Worked excellent but I had to throw the second polishing agent as it expired and separated into components and couldn't bind back

Great Kit...would buy again.
Did the job on my sons 2005 Ford F-150. Lights were in terrible shape, I mean extra special bad shape. This kit did the trick, they look great now. I did buy one kit for each headlight as another reviewer suggested. If I had not done that I would not have had enough material to do the job. Had never attempted polishing the headlights before but kit was easy to use, good instructions, and it worked. I would also suggest an electric drill NOT a battery drill, the battery drill will not be able to keep up with the demand. Highly recommended!

May need to do the process twice per headlight.
Well its a good thing there's enough items in a package to do a light twice. The headlight lenses are better, clearer, after using this product. Hardly like new again. I followed the instructions to the letter and watched a YouTube video. Plus. Did it twice on both headlights. It was a lot of work. I'm also concerned the fading will return after a few trips through a car wash. Again, overall it's an improvement.

Fantastic product....good as new....cheaper at auto store down the street.
This stuff works! I've tried others and have had less than stellar results. But this did exactly what it said it would and I couldn't be more thrilled. Read the instructions....and follow along carefully. Do as they say, take your time and care with each step...and you will have "like new" results. Word of caution....do not press hard while sanding....slow, even, and steady is the way to go. The process took me roughly 45 min - 1 hour to complete on my Saturn Aura sedan. One package was enough. My only regret was that i noticed the auto store down the street carried the exact same product for roughly $5 less than what I paid here on amazon.

Better results than I hoped for.
I thought my headlights might be beyond saving. Nope, the 3M kit saved them. I had sanded them by hand twice before and used a wipe new kit last time. This was the first time I used a power drill kit. I got a 2pk and needed both to get the results shown (one per side). I then sealed them with a uv protector spray from Meguires. You'll definitely want a corded drill if yours are as bad as mine were. No battery would have got this done. I used a right angle drill and it was pretty easy to control.

Exceptional fir the money
It took a few minutes to understand the process, but once I started, the kit worked perfectly. Headlights returned to be perfectly smooth and shiny. The final step will splatter a little, so I’d recommend the use of working clothes and to cover anything that one wishes to keep clean. Work time about one hours for both headlights. Exceptional product and results.

Poor adhesion
Barely started and foam let go on backing connecting to disk pad. The foam seperated from the paperlike backing with only the backing left on the pad holder. For a company that produces glue, they maybe should use a more expensive product to assure this doesn't happen.

Awesome Kit
Tried others but the 3M kit is still the best. Take your time, don't rush and follow the steps and you will be amazed at the finished product. Be sure to tape and cover all your surfaces.
