The Blue's Brothers "Briefcase Full of Blues is their first album released originally in 1978, which reached double platinum status. It is now re-released through the Flashback collection for fans listening pleasure. Review: Good album - Very good album. Worth what i paid for it Review: One of the surprise best blues albums - To be fair, I wasn't around when this album actually came out, so my interpretation of how popular this album was when it came out is probably ignorant. But growing up a generation after these guys, I never thought much of them. They're just a couple of SNL guys playing a bit for a movie and doing some musical numbers to go along with it. Wow is that ever an ignorant, underrated approach to this album. It's actually fantastic, John was a talented musician in his own right. I grew up on the blues and frequent the local blues scene here, I've listened to more than my fair share of blues music and I still listen to this album several times a week, it's that good. The song selection is great and they give every song their own sound that stands up by itself. I don't know if being tied to the SNL characters helped or hurt the popularity of this album, but it's worth adding to your collection, regardless. I highly recommend buying this one.

Blues Brothers.
I do have the movie soundtrack. This, I believe, is live recording? Good variety of blues. I wouldn't say it better than movie soundtrack. But it's not bad either. Music selection on the soundtrack is more familiar to me. I'm sure after few years, this will be familiar also.

Was not the original 78 pressing. Great music and memories. It was a pressing from 2014 import. Back to the record store.

Get Live with Jake and Elwood Blues
Well this is just a fun album. Great musicians. Don't know about Jake and Elwood, although this project wouldn't have happened without them :-). The sound quality is decent despite being a live recording. Nice low floor - good instrument separation and clarity. Some people slammed this as being "not real blues" but I have no idea what that means to them. To me, this album rocks!!

Briefcase Full of Blues
Blues Brothers had to be the best for that time. The movie songs and dance has taken us back to our good times. Hearing the music is great. SNL was pretty good at this time. This ia one of my husband's favorite shows. People here, from our hay day. Glad we went to Amazon again for our intertainment desires. Amazon is always on time and has good quality merchandise. Divertimento e grande musica
L'unione di due attori iconici con una super band e ottime rivisitazioni di grandi classici del blues non poteva che produrre come risultato tantissimo divertimento (e durante l'ascolto si può percepire sopratutto quanto si divertano Belushi, Aykroyd e i musicisti). L'affiatamento e la "tightness" della band portano questo disco live - a mio parere - a livelli superiori della più famosa OST, e sono da manuale della musica. Per essere un progetto nato quasi per scherzo, il risultato è eccezionale.
