Great tool ...IF u've EVER used one before.
I used it the first day that i received them. They are awesome tools, they work very well, and they are of superior quality. Ive seen a few people right bad reviews on these taps...but i truly believe that its due to the fact that they DONT KNOW how to use them, and they probably never used one before buying these. However, i think if the manufacturer provide instructions on how to use them.....then the novice people and rookies would rate this product 5 stars consistently.

Would be perfect if knurled correctly
This is a very robust set. If only they had the knurl in the right places, it could've been awesome. I dropped one star because of this. I had to use pliers to tighten it enough to hold the small 1.6mm tap. I am using an industrial grade tap that has a big enough square on the end, but I still had to use pliers to tighten it enough to hold it without it coming loose while tapping. I can't help but to believe that even with the knurl in the right place, I still would have had to use pliers to tighten it. I am 68 years old, so I doubt I would have had the the strength to do this without pliers. The other 2 I can't say, because I only bought this because of the price. I had only planned on using the smallest one.It is such a shame. This is a really nice set. The looks and feel would tell you, "Man this a a very nice set for $13.00." But then, alas, it isn't as nice as I thought. I am really curious as to "Why" it just doesn't tighten so well? Go figure.

high quality, small and handy
I go this to save space in my tool box. If you are planning to tap threads larger than M6 into steel or iron then the pressure in the palms might get painful after a couple of taps. But overall a great product and build quality.I wish the tightening screw had a hex cut so that I can use a wrench to loosen the bit.

Should not be an "Amazon Top Choice" , Cannot be tightened well without a wrench.
Due to the machining on the outer chuck nut, you cannot grip it well by hand to tighten a tap into it. The outer chuck nut does have knurling on it, but the knurling is set into the outer, smooth, outside surface and provides no grip. I needed to use a pair of "pump pliers" to grab the chuck nut to tighten it well enough on the small size wrench to use thread taps without having them being loose and wobbly. They should knurl the outside surface that isn't set in, and keep the relief's that the knurling is in now smooth of they wanted to save weight, or just save time in machining and knurl the whole outside diameter on the same diameter and don't try to get fancy!

Great items to have for different types of taps.
Great items. Needs to be broke in but it isn't an issue with me. Need another size smaller if you have one.

Cheap but works.
Came super dirty and was binding up. I did like the irony of the box saying the knurling was for grip but then it's so recessed they don't even help. I did notice this design on other tap handles so obviously no one knows how to make them actually work.I ended up taking them apart, filing the centers down a little and cleaning up around the threads and cleaning them. They work better now but could be just a tad better. A little cleaner and knurling that is actually supposed to serve it's purpose.
