Good quality hose ends for shop vacs. These 2-1/2 inch threaded hose ends work well with our shop vacs in the service department. The 2-pack is convenient for having spares on hand. They thread on securely and create a good seal without leaking. The construction feels solid and durable. Fit standard Shop Vac hoses without any issues. One minor complaint is that the threading can be a bit stiff initially, but it loosens up after a few uses. For the price, they're a solid replacement part. Much cheaper than buying a whole new hose assembly. Keep shop vacs running efficiently.

They worked better than I expected. They fit my "POWERTEC 70129 2-1/2-Inch x 10-Foot Flexible PVC Dust Collection Hose, Clear Color" that I got from amazon perfectly. They also fit my original Rigid shop vac hose, no hassle, no clamps and no duck-tape ... The threads screw on the ends of the hose just by twisting counterclockwise and you are done!! .... Such a clean way to make quick and efficient connections in your dust management system with no leaks or loss of suction. I can even connect both hoses together using a standard 2-1/2 - 2-1/4 coupling. Snug fit and quick connect and disconnect! ... I am waiting until they are available again and I am ordering some more ... I highly recommend these, specially with the type of hose like the one mentioned above!

I was revamping my router table to connect to my 4" DC system so I could add some dust pick up under the table since I only had the Shop Vac dust port on top of the table. I built a little manifold to adapt the 4" hose to two 2-1/2" ports. I used the adapter to transition from 2.5" DC hose to the Shop Vac end to connect to the topside dust port, and works/fits great (I hadn't paid attention to the handedness of the turns of the hose and the adapter, but they were both the same for me). I was able to use the second adapter to go from the 2.5" hose to the 35 mm port with some additional adapter hardware that I already had on hand.

When I got these, it was immediately apparent that they were much shorter than those pictured. But I decided to try them anyway. Then I discovered that they don't fit my 2 1/2 inch hose. Total misrepresentation. Returning them for refund.

Excellent fit in 2 1/2” flex hose for dust collection. Tight and should stay put once installed. If you use longer lengths for dual purpose such as a vacuum to sweep your floor and to connect to a piece of equipment, you will like these. UPDATE: they dont fit US standard collection/sweeper tools like crevice or floor hose ends. Will either have to sand them or heat (distort) and force fit. They do thread into the hose but poor fitment in the actual collection tool ends.

Completed my home shop dust collection system by connecting my 2-1/2” flex hose to a shop vac and belt sander. Holds well by friction. In one case where the O.D. of tool dust port is slightly smaller than I.D. of the connector, a layer or two of electrical tape solves it.

Purchased these to make some short 2.5" dust collection hose runs such as the two ports on the bandsaw. The male ends are a littler shorter than the typical hose end, but they friction fit well in a 2.5" hose system. It is possible the hose side fits the wider short sections of shop vac hoses, but you're most likely buying these ends to fix or make 2.5" hose runs (that are about 2" in the main section) for your dust collection system where there are no expanded ends so these won't work as intended. However with moderate persistence, force, and the assistance of some needle nose pliers these can be made to work as *female* ends for 2.5" hose which is about 2" in diameter (3rd pic). First, shave off the 4 ribs on the inside (1st pic) as they leave a visible air gap when the hose is inserted. Then work the hose in and pull it up to the stop ridge with needle nose pliers (2nd pic). These will then work great for any pieces of 2.5" (2") DC/shopvac hose you have lying around.
