Great job on crimping
In my job I need something strong fast and gives a good finish, does this meet that criteria... Read onFirst it's packaged well in a soft case with the assorted crimp ferrols well laid out in the case in a boxed compartments strapped down with instructions and the crimper. On testing found to stretch the fingers to crimp but is effortlessly easy in operation and gives a very tidy resulting crimp. On a daily basis this has not missed a beat having had it working every day for the last five days.Quality job so far !

It’s not Knipex, but it’s great
I’ve only made up a few crimps so far with this, but I’m suitably impressed already! It’s obviously a Chinese copy of Knipex at a fraction of the price, but it actually seems to be really well made and feels absolutely great in the hand and is making up some lovely crimps. I really was leaning towards getting the Knipex version, but thought it would be rude not to at least test these out first as they were such good value in comparison. So if you’re thinking the same, then don’t question it, just get these, they’re great! No clue on the longevity of them, but they do feel solid, and assuming I look after them, I reckon they’ll last a very long time indeed! Super happy 😃

Hexagonal crimp works better for smaller size wires
It's perfect for DIY electronics but I doubt it would stand up to the rigors of day to day business usage. The manufacturers also seem to have cheapened the way it's manufactured - if you look at the photos it looks in the advertisement that screws are used to assemble the 6 irising pivots promising the ability to adjust the clearance between the leaves, in my example there are just 6 rather crude rivets which are a sloppy fit and already there is a gap to be seen (photo). That doesn't bode well for the tool having a long life. Mine is also marked 6-6A while the advertisment shows 6-6... that might explain the difference and this tool is actually a design revision.Nevertheless at the moment it is working really well, although I did use the tightening adjustment - removing the locking screw and turning the adjustment wheel one notch clockwise. I did this because some of the smaller gauge wires I tried didn't feel that secure in the ferrule and could be pulled out with a sharp tug, but now I'm happy with it. For sure unless it breaks unexpectedly this tool will fulfill all my ferrule crimping needs.

Not a sparky but for occasional use.....
As the title suggests, but on the odd occasion I have to use something like this it works really well. Good selection of tips for varying sizes of cable.

Easy to use quality tool
To prepare the cable to be crimped make sure you strip off just enough insulation to go to the end of the crimp as shown in the photos, to little and you risk the wire not being in the terminal correctly, to much wire and it will stick out of the front expressively. If you are not use to stripping the cable for these crimps they you can strip to much, crimp and then use cutters to cut off the spare and the last 1mm of the crimp, not ideal but better than cutting to short. The crimper itself works very well and despite its compact length operates easily with very little force, it is a smooth action and finishes off the crimp very well as you can see in the photos. You get enough crimps to keep a DIY'er going for many months if not years and replacement crimps are readily available from many suppliers. The crimp storage box 'does the job' but not sure how long the hinges will last and everything comes supplied in a reasonable quality zip-able pouch. In in all 5* Item!

High Quality professional grade and excellent value
Hello -I had used other Bootlace Ferrule tools before - the two jaw Squeeze type, and never felt fully satisfied with the results, never quite sure if it was firm and getting a good "bite", but with the multiple jaw type from Preciva there are no such worries, a work mate had the 4 jaw type and after trying it i was sold on the idea of multiple jaw crimping, and when i investigated i found that there is now a 6 jaw version, so thats the one i went for, came well packaged and with its own sturdy case and with a good supply of ferrules and a handy container to keep them all in place within the carry pouch, solid feel in the hand and looks to be made to last, I would recommend this to both pro's and diy use.

Does the job fine!
Good selection of smaller connectors; sturdy pliers, good design. I chose this because I’ve bought Preciva tools previously, and found them very good value. Used this today to crimp new connectors to a replacement bulb for a halogen oven, and it did the job perfectly. I can recommend it.

Great product. I wish I had bought one of these years ago!
Great product. Makes it so much easier to connect wires into terminal strips etc., particularly when the wires are very thin and flimsy. As well as the insulated ferrules which came with the tool, I also bought some non-insulated ferrules for those cases when there is no room for an insulated ferrule. The tool itself is really easy to use. I decided to go for the slightly more expensive version which creates a hexagonal shaped crimped ferrule, rather than the cheaper square version. I thought it would just be easier to insert into a round shaped hole, the rounder the crimped ferrule is.
