It works well at delivering clean water. It is super easy to use. Love the automatic shutoff. Saves endless trips out to buy clean, unadulterated water. Saves expensive water delivery. Usually we add mineral drops (available on Amazon) after processing. Nota bene: this machine is not particularly quiet; nor is it excessively loud--but you can tell when it's running.Side benefits:We keep the house cool during the winter because heating the house causes dry eyes, dry nasal passages, and allergies.By putting this unit in the bathroom (on the tile counter), it preheats the bathroom for us so it's toasty, plus delivering warm, moist air to breathe.When summer comes, we can open the bathroom window and let the warm vapors escape.When we called the 800 number, we received highly informative, helpful guidance in clear English from a trained science professional.Fine product for the price.

Unfortunately I received a defected reservoir tank; the handle area was slightly cracked which made it difficult to fill it up as water would pour out. I still tried to use it but then the crack created an air vent which caused the water to overflow and spill all over my counter.I called the customer service number listed on Amazon (855) 855-2500 and got Howard on the line. He was extremely helpful and after briefly explaining what happened he said they would ship a new one out. I expected to return the broken one but he said it wasn't necessary. I've dealt with a lot of customer service workers before but this was the fastest, easiest fix I've ever received in my life. I didn't have the order receipt on me or anything, he just looked me up by my name and said he would send the replacement part to the address on file.I can't recall doing any Amazon reviews in the past but I felt like this company deserved recognition. As far as the unit goes....it works just fine and leaves my murky water clear with no odors. Glad my friend convinced me to buy this unit. Also it was the cheaper one so that was also a plus compared to the $200 units.

This was a new model of distiller for me, we had more of a canister type previously. This one works great, and distills water quickly. I don’t care for the cleaning aspect of this one, however. There are several pieces that need to be cleaned and descaled, as well as a pad that casts a lot of money to replace-with a high shipping charge, and it just dissolved! When this one quits I’ll be looking for another kind.

We bought this unit in Feb. 2022 when we were unable to buy distilled water in practically any store in North Phoenix. My husband needs distilled water for his CPAP machine. We use it in the winter in a humidifier, since the desert air is very dry. We have also distilled water for the golf cart batteries. We sat it on a small narrow two shelf wood stand next to the washing machine in the laundry room to save counter space in the kitchen and we can close the door to keep the noise and heat contained and vented out of the room. It has been used year round since 2022 and we clean it regularly. We do not use it for drinking water. We are very happy with this product.

You cannot use this product in your kitchen and watch your tv in the living room because the product is so loud I can't hear a thing. If it ran for a few minutes that's one thing but 4+ hours to make a gallon of water... all I can dream about is this products fan blowing all the time.....I also placed the water receptacle incorrectly and what happened? I had water run all over the counter and the floor. In fact, the unit runs weather the water receptacle is in place or not.What is up with this flimsy filter cap. I as well throw it away because resting it on top of a bottle I predict to be useless as it will be lost in days.I'm extremely disappointed in this product.UPDATE-I've had my unit for mere days, and it no longer works. I put on a batch of water last night and the unit made about 1 cup of distilled water. The unit continues to run and eat energy, but no distilled water is produced. What a waste of my time and money.

Bought this item in October 2023, but was skeptical because of mediocre reviews.This distiller is so easy to use, once you use it once or twice. Fill the tank, clean out the water reservoir and element pad, and soak the heating element in vinegar to dislodge buildup once or twice a month. So much easier than the last distiller - lasted 8 years, but had to be boiled & scraped after every use.Hoping long life for this one!

Updated after 5 months of daily use: The design uses a compact heating element to boil water in a small space above a fiber pad that collects most of the hard water deposits instead of the heating element. The carafe is well designed with a detent holding it perfectly in place, fills without leaking and looks like it would dribble but has never spilled even a single drop. Instructions say to clean everything every 6 uses, but I just empty the tray and rinse the pad after each gallon or two under warm tap water until the milky white is gone and the water runs clear. Eventually the pad got crusty but a few hours in a cup of water with Citric acid cleaned it up. There is no pot full of gunk to clean and no need for a timer to turn it off, because there is no pot and it turns off when the water tank is empty. The small boiling chamber also results in instant response, so you can turn it on and off any time, less wasted heat.This is a very clever design that can be used anywhere and does not need to be near the sink. (On cold mornings I run it on the floor to preheat my home office.)I take back my earlier complaint about fan noise. Still, I mostly use it at night away from the bedroom.
