Great for my elderly father with mobility issues
We got this for my 83 year old father who has limited mobility and has to urinate a lot and often due to BPH and being on lots of diuretics for his heart failure. He uses it at night so he can get more sleep without having to get up every few hours to go to the bathroom. It’s worked great and allowed us all to get a full nights rest without worrying about my father falling in the middle of the night. We did have to cut the tube to adjust the length for easy emptying which was easy to do. There’s no leaking and it’s easy to clean. Also, it took him a little while to learn to how to slightly lift and tilt the urinal while in bed to make sure it empties into the larger container. It’s a little difficult to just place it between his legs in bed and expect it to drain without any intervention. It all relies on gravity. The urinal tube gets a little kinked on the bed and has to go under his leg leading to the container on the floor, so someone has to lift it a little. We tried to set it up so he didn’t have to do anything with a few washcloths under the urinal, but still the tube would get a little bent and urine would overflow from the urinal. But since he’s figured out how to move it every so often, it’s been great

Best personal urinal I've used
This is the second one of these I've purchased, the first was from a different online store but, they are identical other than the covers on this one snapping on just a bit more tightly. Being wheelchair bound, I always need to use a personal urinal and this is the best, easiest to use, one that I have had. One very important thing to do before you use it is to trim the hose back to the proper length. When I got my first one I didn't give it a thought, I just used it with all of the hose attached, and with the hose laying on the floor, below the level of the jug's snout, it allows the urine to back up and overflow from the cup. With the hose trimmed to the proper length, it flows very well and can handle a strong flow very easily, stronger than what any person can put into it. I've tested that theory many times over in the tub when cleaning it, running a powerful stream into it from the spout. With the hose trimmed, pushed on to the cup all the way, and the cover snapped tightly on to the jug, there shouldn't be any leaking or overflowing. The only other thing I would suggest is making sure the locking piece that keeps the hose from coming out of the jug's cover is pushed into the hose as far as you can get it, or at least, far enough in that the liquid isn't dripping into the jug right against the edge of the opening. I've seen that cause some minor leakage when opening it up for dumping, since it will pool there a little bit if the hose isn't just a little deeper inside. It doesn't have to go in very far to prevent this. Highly recommended. The only reason I purchased a second one is because if anything were to happen to it I wouldn't want to be without one this style at all, also to have a second one in the bathroom, so when we have company I can have another one to use in there. I have to keep one at my recliner, which is where I pretty much live. If you're in a situation like me, or have need of a personal urinal for any other reason, you should definitely get one. I can see these being great for truckers, they hold a lot of liquid and the cup is small enough to be pretty unintrusive, so it shouldn't get in the way at all when you're trying to urinate while going down the road. Again, you simply have to be sure the hose isn't longer than necessary, if it's laying down below the inflow point of the jug, you'll have a mess.

Not the best one
Bought this for a male relative of mine. I bought a different one before that looked similar to this one. Hated this one almost immediately. The hose had a real bad smell to it and is to long. The hose also is narrow and is not flexible. Making cleaning very difficult. Also hated that this one the hose connection to the main container snaps one. The other similar one screws on. Also my male relative said it is hard to manage as he is confined mainly in bed. It wanted to tip over.

It works but could be better
I am a fully mobile adult male with no physical restrictions. I personally use this product due to an inability to leave my sleeping space to use the facilities at night. At the price point it is flimsy. The plastic is extremely thin and I could see it springing a leak eventually on a seam and/or a lot of QA issues with leaky units straight from the factory. For the price there should be a mechanical connection (spring clamp at least) for the hose to receptacle connection instead of the friction slip fit. The lid holding the hose snaps onto the main reservoir but the seal on the main reservoir is a poor fit. It is a leak point for sure so this is not a device to hold and move urine around on its own without expecting leaks. Ensure the main reservoir is placed inside of a bucket and with the spout held at an upward angle somehow. Even though the reservoir has a flat base, it is clear that it was not intended to be laid flat as the fluid measurement scale is printed as if you are holding the item vertically. I believe horizontally it would fill to the point of spilling out the main spout long before hitting the 2L maximum. The hose is the best style, straight, clear and not corrugated. It is a long hose and is meant to be trimmed to length for your application. I had a near incident the first use because I could not get the main reservoir far enough away to ensure the tubing was as straight as possible. The tubing is fairly narrow but the initial receptacle can probably hold about 200ml worth of discharge and with the vent hold in the cap to the main reservoir it does drain very fast. Someone would have to put effort into overwhelming the flow capacity of the unit if it has been setup correctly with no sags or kinks. Is there room for improvement, yes. But this item is better than all the other ones with corrugated hoses that I could find.

Good idea but not leakproof
As the title says it seemed like the perfect thing for me as an over the road truck driver to use in case of emergencies. I found out by the first day this thing is not leak proof. I do like the hose and entry end though. No problems with waste going where it needs to, and the entry point is very convenient when using.

Great Male Urinal!
I am legally blind and like most men my age, I have prostate problems which make emptying my bladder difficult. As a result, I get up once each night to urinate. I was deciding between a traditional male urinal or this product. What I like about this is the remove recepticle. I cut the tube (very heavy duty) and usiing velcro, I attached the bottle to the bottom shelf of my night stand. The receptical is hung wirthin reach by the bed. No longer do I have to struggle in the dark and trip trying to go to the bathroom. I sleep on my right side so when I have to go, I grab the recepticle, plug myself in and go. Then I hang it back up and go back to bed. The next morning I empty it, wash it out and it's ready to go. This is ideal if you drive all day and are tired of stopping in unsanitary rest rooms or in the woods to urinate. So it is ideal for that too. But however you use it, be sure the bottle is secure so it doesn't tip over. Velcro is good for that. If you use it in a car, the hook part of velcro will secure it to the carpet. Well worth the money! After 1 week, this item works very well. The use of velcro reduces the odds of the bottle tipping over when placed on a flat surface. reduces tipping. NO LEAKS!!

Urine flow doesn't drain properly, overflows!
I purchased this, because the other kind with the flexible corrugated hose had many reviews claiming that the hose cracked after a short time. This one has a clear, vinyl hose, which should not crack. Problem is, it doesn't drain properly! I tested it myself in bed last night (I bought it for use in my wheelchair van on long trips), and on using it, the receiver cup overflowed, it did not drain down the hose! At 73, here I am wetting the bed again! Lol. I tested it in the sink later, and the same problem: It doesn't drain well. Only drains when I lift up the cup and tap it. My friend thinks that the hole in the cup is too small, not allowing the water to overcome air pressure in the hose. It is a poor design, more cheaply made than the price would suggest. I'd say, get the other kind!
