When God Made the World Review: Adventure, encouragement, and truth written in a fun rhythmic rhyme! - I love this book just as much as I did when I first discovered it years ago. This is a staple that should belong in the homes of every Christian family with young children. The illustrations are beautiful, inviting and playful, inviting the reader/listener to come on an adventure. We love the rhyme that this book offers and of course the message! Such a good one to have on hand for a cozy read aloud! Review: ~~Excellent...just excellent....~~ - The author recommends this book for ages 3 to 7 and grades P to 2. The illustrations are superbly done by Gillian Gamble and accompany the text. They are bright and the little ones, I believe, will be enchanted with them. (One other item about the illustrations is that they depict children of different races which is indeed outstanding, as well). The book is in the Land Scape mode so is read horizontally instead of vertically on the Kindle. ( I read it on my PC and it was even larger than the Kindle would have been), In addition to the illustrations the text itself rhymes which I feel is always a bonus for the little ones. I appreciated the fact that there are 'big words' for the children to question. Words such as 'asteroids, continents, apathy, plateaus, geysers, and krills' come to mind. Just a multitude of teaching moments which is a so educational for the young audience. The following may be considered a spoiler but is intended for the parents reading this...The book itself tells of the order of creation. And, along the way, there are birds and animals (with the sounds they make; the day and night creation; the length of orbit of our planet; climate and plants...and much more. Each and every child of this universe is unique and special. God did indeed have a plan when the Earth was created. This has my highest recommendation for multiple reasons. Excellent presentation, educational aspects, and it also rhymes. Most highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful book
This book is phenomenal. The words are so meaningful, beautifully written, and thought-provoking. The visuals are breathtaking. I read this to my 4 year old and was near tears. I love how diverse the children are and how the writer shows details of God’s creations. I’d love to read this over and over and over again and plan to. Amazing. 10/10.

Beautiful book with wonderful message & pictures!
Once again, Matthew Paul Turner does not disappoint!! This is another beautiful children's book with the incredible story of creation, using words and pictures sure to delight children and adults alike! "When I Pray for You" by MPT is our all-time favorite children's book, so I knew we had to have this one, as well. MPT brings God's love and light to life in each page, making Him palpable and real. His words are gorgeous, and Gillian Gamble's illustrations are breathtaking. Everyone should buy a copy of all of his books. They're my go-to baby shower gifts. What a blessing they are! Please keep writing, MPT!

God and evolution beautifully entwined
Great book to share with 5-7ish year olds to present a neutral view of the role of God. It's beautifully positive, diverse, and inclusive without rejecting evolution.

Filled with the important lessons of sharing the Earth God created for us
“When God Made the World” is the first book I have read by Matthew Paul Turner. I was delighted by all of it! Great detail, wonderful choice of words, diversity, lyrical rhyming, gorgeous illustrations, and delightful descriptions...priceless! Gillian Gamble is a gifted illustrator and I could not wait to turn the page to see what it would reveal! This book is filled with so many life lessons, some subtle, some overt. “Cause when God made the world, every creature on Earth became a part of life’s cycle, having value and worth”. This work was such a gift to my heart, a joy to read, with such substance...I did not want it to end. I cannot wait to read it to my 4 year old granddaughter. Can’t wait to read Matthew’s other books also and order more of “When God Made the World” to share with others.

Beautiful and engaging
We love this book. I bought it even though my kids like to tell me they are much too old for picture books. I opened it while on the couch, and I asked if I could read it to them, they started telling me they were too old and not interested...but I just started reading it anyway...seconds later, 2 of the 3 were sitting close and looking at the beautiful illustrations..moments passed and one was on my lap and the other squeezed as close as he could get. These "too old" and "too cool" boys were sucked in. They were under a spell of sorts, and my mama heart was so warm. The illustrations drew them in first, but as they listened to the poetry and imagery in Mathew's words they became snuggly little loves and listened intently. This book is lovely. You are never too old for it, nor too young.

Most Amazing Children's Book
I LOVED this new book by Matthew Paul Turner. Like his other books, this one is filled with beauty (illustrations and words), hope, encouragement and joy. It's perfect for adults and children of all ages. He does an incredible job sharing the story of creation. I wasn't surprised at how well done this book was written and illustrated. His other books are just as amazing. It leaves you in awe and wonder. I enjoy reading these books to my grandson. I received a copy of this book from the publisher.
