4 PACK AMBER BALL MASON JARS 946ML WIDE MOUTH with RECIPE BOOKLET

I bought these to make sauerkraut. The wide neck means it is easy to get to contents into the jar. I bought some 'pickle pipes' which fit the wide necked jars and work well with these jars. I wish they were of clear glass as it is difficult to see when the contents have started / stopped bubbling and fermenting. Overall, excellent product thank you.

Durable glass, will be using these to store some home made hair oils.

Amazing Jars but as another said they all smell really really bad (probably from the manufacturing process). I solved this by: 1. Add a big tablespoon of coarse salt and shake for 30sec, 2. Add bicarb of soda (1tbl spn) to the salt and shake again for 30sec then leave for a few mins, 3. Add boiling water and overfill the jar leaving lid off and let it rest for 10min, 4. After 10min put lid on tight and shake well again for 30sec (use oven gloves cuz it will b hot), 5. Rise with clean water and leave to dry - smell gone. This works better than putting in dishwasher (which didn't work at all).Wish we could get the larger size Jars here in UK :(

Good size, sturdy, solid

Unlike the majority of people who have bought these jars, I didn't get them to store food stuffs.I bought these jars to store pipe tobacco in so it was important to me that they had a good seal and would protect the tobacco in them.I went for these in particular because of the tinted glass, the size and the screw top lids.I am very pleased with my purchase and these jars are keeping my pipe tobacco fresh and safe.

I bought these jars for sprouting seeds and food storage. They are of very good quality. I was initially sent the wrong size, but the seller replaced those without any problem. Excellent customer service. Would definitely use them again.

Great wide mouthed jars with screw lids and removable inner seals.I bought these as they had a large opening and high capacity.Glass is good and solid, screw lids deal well and have a rubberised edge to aid in air tight seal.Happy with them and work well.

I used this to make Sauerkraut, however it's absolutely impossible to monitor the ferment through the dark glass and significant amounts of mold developed without me knowing about it. If I saw early mold I wouldn't leave the ferment to continue on...in this case I had no way of knowing and had to deal with a significant health risk in having to clean out the contents with a thick layer of black mold on top. Not worth it. Sticking to clear glass jars from now on.
