Great for needy/hyper cats - UPDATE: DIES FAST
UPDATE: Purchased Jan 2020. Died in April 2020. So lasted only 4 months before it stopped working :( The light still turned on but it stopped moving completely. Very disappointed since this was her favorite toy, but won't buy again with such a short life. I wouldn't mind spending a little more if it lasted longer, like at least a year....I love my cat, but she is SO annoying and always meowing at me. Now I just turn this on when she meows and she leaves me alone. She doesn't really "play" with it, but she stalks it and jumps at it. It will occupy her for a long time. I then added a thin string to it, and she plays with it more this way. Would be great if there was a string already attached to it. Very happy with this. Great price and totally worth it if you have a needy/hyper cat.

Thats not a laser.
Pretty cool little toy. Its a ball with a gyro inside that makes it spin and roll, in random directions, on its own. The ad shows a little red light on it. I thought it was a laser light pointer but it turns out, its just a light inside. Still pretty cool. My cat loves it. The only thing that would make this better is if it was motion activated to start and it shut itself off after the cat has stopped playing with it.

Delomo has great customer service
I am giving a second review on this product, my first one was very low because the cat was not interested in it at all which in all fairness to Delomo is not their fault, cats are cats and they are picky. When picking up I threw the ball in a box and it rolled around bumping into the sides of the box. This attracted the cat and he was in the box and under the box, pushing it around the room. What i want to emphasize is the outstanding Delomo customer service who read the review and wrote back offering a refund. I did not contact them at all. Now that is a great company!

Don't buy if you have Dogs
This is a great cat toy, and wonderful if you have only cats as pets and no young children. I liked the battery-free feature, and the charge lasted a good while. It operated as advertised. The instructions are clear that human supervision is needed, and that the item is not indestructible. The first three days I used it for my indoor-only cat, it worked just as it should. I supervised all play, and my dog ignored it. The fourth day, my dog jumped right in front of me, picked up the ball, and then dropped it. It promptly stopped working - it would no longer roll and propel itself. So I blame myself, but am still disappointed. I am sure a toddler or young child could readily do the same damage.

So impressive for the cost
The media could not be loaded. So I bought four electronic cat toys for Christmas gifts ranging from this one to ones that were several hundred and I hate to say it, but it rivals them all. It rolls everywhere and crazily. It gets itself out of corners and odd walls when it crashes, the laser is kind of going all over. Watch the video to understand. It’s awesome for the price. Great stocking stuffer for the cat people.Pros:1. Rechargeable, no long term cost2. Seems to endure abuse fairly well, it crashed into a lot of walls and seemed fine3. I like that it gets itself out of corners when it gets into them; doesn’t seem like it’s possible to get this little thing stuckCons:1. You can’t control where it goes, it’s going to go everywhere.2. The chaotic nature of movement and the noise of it crashing might scare pets.

Better toy for my grandson than my cat.
The ball is a great toy. Charging is easy, it's movements are quirky and the light adds intriguing. It just wasn't something my cat enjoyed--she lost interest after batting at it a few times. Since the first time, she ignores it when we try to engage her.The good news is that my 8-month old grandson loves it. He crawls after it and giggles with glee when he catches it. But he promptly puts it back down and then crawls after it. It is a lot of fun for him.

My cats LOVE it!
By far one of the best toys I have gotten for my little furbabies. It really gets around and it has enough weight to it that it makes a noticeable noise to get their attention. Plus the flashing light on it adds to the appeal. It hasn't gotten stuck too many times so far either, even with the cats trying to corner it.I've found it off in random places so it seems to power down after a bit, possibly when the cats have stopped playing with it which is nice. Showed up fully charged several days ago and I haven't had to charge it yet even with all the usage, as I make a point of turning it on pretty much anytime I find it off--unless the kitties are snoozing. Good way to distract them so that I can get some work done!

Cat not impressed
Barely able to move on carpeted surfaces, and the cat was just not amused. We've got some amount of play time out of it by placing it under the blanket of the bed and letting the cat try to capture it, but that's about it.Would not recommend for carpeted floors. Did not have hard surfaces to try on. Construction is alright, but charging involves taking it apart - which is odd, and simply doesn't create an impression that anyone had deeply cared about the user experience aspect of this product. It would have probably been more interesting had it been smaller, and with higher friction surface such as soft rubber.
