I've been using this product for about a year. Before that I tried Dermend for about 6-9 months. I still use Dermend, and a number of other Arnica-based products to heal a bruise, but I've not found any product other than Skin Renu that works to prevent bruises. One caution however. Because this product is expensive (currently $39.99, and previously $49.99) I started experimenting with a smaller amount to make it last longer. I first was getting just under two months use, applying twice a day to the back of my hands and forearms. Then I reduced the amount and stretched the duration to two and a half months, but then I started getting bruises again. My bruises would sometimes be the result of an obvious inadvertent banging my hand or arm against something. But they could also just show up - from something so slight I never even felt it. But for nearly 3 months now I've been using a larger amount with each application, and getting about 7 weeks use from a bottle. I've had absolutely no bruises of any kind. So my advice, bite the bullet and use it liberally. Keep track of when you open a new bottle. Adjust the amount you use as needed. I only hope they don't stop selling this stuff, because I'm not sure there's another comparable product out there.

I'm not sure I'm ever written an Amazon review, however this lotion blows my mind (and no, I didn't receive this free for a review). I lost a lot of weight and when I did my skin got super thin on my forearms... I'd barley scrape or bang or anything and my arm would get those horrible old lady bruises... made me feel super decrepit! Ugh! I'm still relatively young so I don't need that now!I truly went into this with low expectations - truly. It took me almost two weeks to plunk down the $50 for this. But, I faithfully used it three times a day at first, and now once a day. MIRACULOUSLY my skin NO LONGER BRUISES like it did. Really! I hate that it's so expensive but it's worth every dime - I'll always use it.So that's my fair and honest and real review - 5 stars all the way!p.s. Go Giants!!!

For the last year or so there has been frequent bleeding within the skin on the top of my left forearm when I often cannot even recall having made contact with anything. I suspect that my left forearm has experienced too much UV damage while driving. I have no tendency to bruise or bleed on the right forearm or anywhere else on my body. After a month of using SkinRenu I have seen no improvement. I speculate that the product ingredient most likely to be of benefit is retinyl palmitate, a form of topical vitamin A. I have given this product a middle of the road 3-star evaluation as a warning to others users that several months of usage may be required for any improvement to be seen from topical vitamin A therapy. I'll soldier on with SkinRenu and consult my dermatologist.

Bought this for my husband who’s had a big problem the last couple of years (he’s in his late 60’s) with heavy bruising on his forearms and hands with just the slightest knock against something! He’s only been using this for a week or so so it’s early days yet but so far so good. He says almost immediately he noticed his skin healthier looking and he knocked his arm a couple of days ago and absolutely no bruise appeared! Maybe just a fluke as it’s prob too soon but at least mentally it’s giving him a boost knowing his proactively helping himself against these horrible bruises which was really getting him down. Will update as time goes on.

The is one product I can say actually DOES as advertised. The skin on my forearms is very thin (I'm 70) and I'm on a blood thinner. I can get one of those ugly looking bruises by barely bumping into something, and then they lasted over 2 weeks. I even started putting band aides over them to cover them up, but no more. I guess this product has toughened my skin somewhat as in the last 4 weeks I've only gotten one small bruise, which was gone in about 4 days. I will continue buying this product for sure. I apply it 3 times a day.

I have used this product for over a month and my constant bruising has not improved at all. In fact, I think it has made my arm skin more crepey. I continue to get raised dark red bruises at the slightest touch.

I haven't been using this as discriped in the instructions three times a day for two weeks then twice a day at $49. For 6oz a bottle doesn't go far!And as I said to be far I haven't been using long enough to notice any difference in the bruising on my forearms elbows and hands but I ordered two more bottles so I will update this review lateron the lotion is very good for your skin UPDATEI've been using it and damn it seems to work the big bruise on my arm from blood draws is almost gone and the bruises on my elbows are healing very expensive but if you can afford it try it I highly recommend it and I paid for it myself

I have tried several different products and I read the reviews on this product so I gave it a try. This is now my second bottle and I must say it is really helping. Yes its more expensive then the others but it DOES WORK. And let me tell you, my forearms look liked I went 10 rounds with a cat they were so bruised and banged up. Now hardly anything and if I do hit them I don't bruise like I used to. I use the cream twice a day and a bottle will last a good 45 days I think
