Lets both feed dogs move the fabric
Depending on your machine’s brand, the right feed dogs may not grab the fabric if you use the ever-popular 1/4 inch presser foot This adjustable foot allows me to move my needle position to the right therefore moving the fabric to the right, and now the right feed dog can “grip” my fabric. Again, some machines work swell with the 1/4 inch foot. Mine did not do too well and I didn’t feel like stacking masking tape on the machine bed over and over. I finally figured out that without all the feed dogs being covered, the fabric has to be gently guided and kind of pushed forward. Took me long enough to figure this out!

Never thought it would save so much time.
At times we need to sew rows that are evenly spaced, specially in quilt making and quilting. This little gadget will keep you at the distance - between rows - that you set and your seams or topo stitching will e perfect. Nomore marking with the pencil and ruler, to discover that the pencil marks do not come off and your topstitching is far from what you envisioned.It a small investment that pays big dividends.
