Jabra GN9350e Wireless Headset

I work in sales, so I'm on the phone 90% of the time I'm at work. This gives me at least an extra 30 minutes a day, just by being able to walk around the office to the copy machine/fax machine and other tasks that I used to have to wait for a free minute to accomplish. The has excellent range and great style. A number of people at my office have the plantronics headsets and while they seem to work as well I wanted something a little different, I love the look of this one and the charging station. It was very easy to set up to a cisco 7960 series phone and I did buy the headset lifter (GN1000) which is a must have if you are planning on using this with a phone line. I also love this headset because it's compatible out of the box for use with a pc and voip, so I see it as more versatile than a lot of the plantronics ones.

Having purchased a similar product from a different source, I was drawn here by a lower price. I was a bit disappointed to receive a headset that I think is inferior to the one I originally purchased. The function of the set seems fine, the base and charger are fine.

The sound quality is pretty good, as is the range. I can get up an walk across the office floor (50 - 60 ft) and keep connectivity with no problem or noticeable depredation in voice quality. It works just fine with our Cisco 7900 series phones, but it took a little tweaking to figure out the right setting to get it to work. It also works fine with our Cisco Softphone software and with Skype. I've had problems with me headset all of a sudden cutting out if I use it for 45 or more minutes at a time. We purchased about 15 and I haven't heard complaints from anyone else on the team, so it may just be a problem on my particular set. The battery shows a charge, so I don't think it's the battery draining. If I put it back on the base and start a new call, it usually works just fine...So in general it's a good headset, with some issues.

Bought this unit after reviewing both the Plantronics Savy Office unit and the Jabra 9470. This worked fine for the first day, then for some reason I could not walk any farther than 5 ft from my desk and base unit. I am using this plugged in to my MacBook Pro on 8x8's VoIP softphone system. When I called tech support for Jabra we determined that the unit somehow managed to set itself to the "low" setting, which means you can walk no farther than your desk. I'm not sure how, but I never changed the settings... We walked thru the setup, and boom, it worked fantastic. Range and voice quality were great. Now, a few days later, I am at a different office setting and once again, I cannot walk more than 5 ft from the desk. All settings on the base unit are as they should be. This really defeats the purpose of a wireless headset obviously. I will be returning for the same unit since I do really like the feel, the look, and the voice quality (when it works). Hopefully, I just got a lemon and a new unit will fix all my problems. I will write another review then. If that does not work then I will consider trying the 9470 or maybe have to switch to a Plantronics unit.

Great product. Amazing range. I can walk outside in my large yard and still use it. I don't use it for telephone - I use it as a wireless microphone and earphone headset for my 1 KW ham radio transceiver. The audio is high quality - I get great comments from others on the air. I have had zero problem with it. If you use it as I am, be sure you use RFI chokes on the mic leads... it is not shielded - as you would expect. I can't take credit for the original idea of adapting it to the radio - W8KMX did this.

Easy install. Easy to use. I switch back and forth from dictation to phone etc. I'm an attorney and on phone all the time. I love being able to stand up with headset on, walk around office, look out window, putt golf balls while talking on phone. Frees me up! The dictation works great with program like Dragon. Easy to switch and forth between functions.
