The Good: I'm very happy with this scale and have used it many times in the past month. So far so good. The screen is easy to read, the multiple units are easy to switch between, the tare button works great. Auto time out seems to be reasonable and has not been annoying, but depends on how you will be using this scale. This thing is compact. The best feature is that it has a small protective hard cover that fits over the bed of the scale, then a larger hard cover that fits over the entire unit. This really protects it, as it is a precision unit.The Bad: It's a minor thing to me but worth mentioning. This scale had to be calibrated the second it came out of the box. I purchased (2) 500g calibration weights and both weighed slightly off their rated weight. I took the calibration weights to a local jeweler who checked them on his $400 scale that had just been tested and certified by the state. The calibration weights were dead on.I followed the calibration procedure included with the scale owners manual. Now things are great. One catch...you need to start at zero, then add 1,000g, then add another 1,000g for a total of 2,000g. Either buy (4) of the 500g weights or buy (2) and use them as a reference to make an equivalent weight out of other objects you might have around the house. Start with a small ceramic bowl and add spare change until you create a 1,000g weight.

Nice, small, lightweight, accurate, easy to use and only requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included.The important feature is fractional gram accuracy to .1 gram. Some scales only offer increments of .2 or .5 in grams. For jewelry and gem weight you want the more exact weight. And the backlit display screen with reasonably sized characters, makes it easy to see.It's just a scale, but they aren't all alike and this one also comes at a great price while offering with all the features I needed.

This scale worked great for a while, measured accurately, batteries lasted a long time, and was very easy to use. But after a little more than a year of moderate use the LCD screen broke and now the numbers are garbled and the scale is useless to me.

Its tough to find a scale for a small-batch homebrewer, I have a cheap Escali scale which is great but can't go into tenths of grams. I look around online and found this thinking it would be ultra-precise. Boy was I wrong. First off, I turned it on and it immediately started climbing in weight even though nothing was on it. Nearly impossible to zero, and even when I did, everything I weighed was WAY off. Even when I used coins as standard weights it was off by as much as 200% of the actual weight. Calibrating it got it to zero better but still would give me about 1/3 the actual weight of the item at best.

The stainless top wasn't correctly pressed together ,weighing was a problem .I think the scale would have been good if not for this.

Works well and as described, would recommend this product to future buyers, well made and priced right for this item.

I bought this scale to weigh dye powder with. It seems pretty accurate from what I can tell, at least accurate enough for my purposes. It is a nice compact and portable size, but more substantial than a little pocket scale. Its nice that it comes with two lids/trays to hold whatever you are measuring. I was surprised that such a small scale can hold and weigh up to 2 kg, but it worked fine for weighing a couple heavy cones of yarn I had.The only downside that I have noticed is that it has a bit of a delayed reaction before it displays the weight. It takes a couple seconds for the weight to register, and when I am pouring dye powder onto the scale this sometimes causes me to overshoot and add too much. Not a big deal though, just takes a few extra seconds to make sure it is displaying the actual weight.For the price, this scale is the best value I have found.

Compact and very easy to use scale. Great for weighing Silver, Gold, Small Packages, etc. Very pleased with this purchase - It does what it is intended for. It gets used a few times a week and has performed perfectly.
