Does this module give an option to solid on also? would like to be able to use my rear cubes as backup lights. how are patterns selected?

Yes, it does have a solid on selection. Modes are selected by installing a momentary push button with a hot wire feeding the yellow wire. The system does have memory as well, so it will remain on the last used setting until you cycle it again. Using it to aid in backing up may not be the best idea. You would have to cycle through all 15 settings in order to turn it to the right setting. You might want to look into wiring a second switch to manually power on the back up lights and look into a way to prevent current backflow into the rest of the circuit if you are set on having a dual use light fixture.

Are these water tight? Planning on using on a four wheeler.
