Upgrade Ear pad earpad replacement for Sony MDR-NC6 MDR NC6 headset Headpone

May update after use, but they fit the Sony MDR-NC6, even though you have to note the pocket in which to slide the frame of the ear piece. Very soft and cushiony, though the apply more pressure on your ear than the original foam ones.Don't be dissuaded by the look--they are round, but they do fit, even though the earpiece is more oval******OK: I have now used them, for one hour straight. They actually *improve* the sound! They are quite padded, so they do apply a little more pressure on the ear, but no discomfort.And you can clearly sense the sound has more depth to it, cushion creates a chamber that amplifies the sound.

My wife bought me a nice set of Sony MDR-NC6 headphones at least 12 years ago...maybe more. At the time, I never was really into headphones (but was completely into home theater and surround sound!) ....and I used them occasionally, but never really took an interest in them. After a few years, the foam cups started to deteriorate to the point where I couldn't wear them and I packed them away and didn't give them another thought. A few months ago, I started to get into some desktop HiFi and started researching headphones. I recalled that I had these packed away somewhere and managed to find them tucked away in a closet but the pads had almost completely disappeared. After researching and reading all about headphones, I learned that there were all kinds of pad replacements available and wondered if it was worth tracking down a set for these Sonys. Found these and figured for $5 it was worth a shot. All I can say is that it was completely worth it. The headphones are much more comfortable now than what I recall from wearing them years ago....and the sound seems to be pretty decent. Installation was no problem, took about 3 minutes to install and I have to say they sound (and look) pretty good!I never really used the "noise cancelling" feature on my headphones, so I really can't comment at all about how these have affected the ability to isolate the sound but for $5 it was completely worth it. Would absolutely purchase again.

I did have to tug on them pretty good and work my way around the driver a little at a time, but they fit well once installed. They certainly aren't going to pop off by accident!I don't use these often anymore and hadn't used them for a long time. I popped them on my head with the original foam cushions which seemed to disintegrate while I was wearing them. I ended up with black junk that was a bit sticky on my ears. These seem like a vast improvement, although I've not yet used them for long periods.I was a little concerned that these cushions were round, where the surface they mount to is mildly elliptical. Once installed though it wasn't an issue. In fact, if the cushions were elliptical then they would have to aligned in a particular way. So I think round shape is actually much more "forgiving" to install.

Bought these for some Sony MDR-NC6 headphones. The ear pieces on the headphones are slightly oval while these earpads are round, but was able to get them installed with a bit of effort. Once on, they fit nicely and are very comfortable. Much better than the foam covers that originally came with the headphones... which disintegrated and were falling apart. I'd buy them again if needed, but hopefully these will last awhile.

The pads on my Sony headphones were worn out and needed replacing. I found these on Amazon and compared them with others that were offered. These arrived on time and at a very good price. There are good quality and I think they will last a long time. It takes a little care and patience to put the on but anyone should be able to install them. They are very comfortable and help block outside sound.

This was a great find. My foam ear pads were disintegrating so I had planned to replace them with newer ones but instead found these and I am thrilled as they are more comfortable and are a suitable upgrade.

First of all, they *do* fit the Sony MDR-NC6 headphone. You do have to stretch them a bit. As I would expect. Secondly, some reviews mention that the noise cancellation does not work with these pads. I found *no* problem with this. When I first tried the noise cancellation at home I used the noise of a fan. In that case I thought I could hear what the reviewers were talking about. The noise of the fan seemed to be replaced by a higher pitched noise. BUT then I used them on an airline flight, and found the noise cancellation worked exactly as before. I would say the overall quality of the headphones with these pads is better than the original on-the-ear design. I am quite happy with them!

I have to admit that I felt a bit hesitant to buy these, since they did not have any reviews or seemed to be a bit too cheap. However the original padding of the Sony MDR-NC6 is just the cheapest thing you can put on a pair of headphones, and after a few years of use, the padding was gone. I am pleased to inform that these pads made my MDR-NC6 wearable again, they feel just right, and fit perfectly. On top of that, I think they insulate noise better, since they have a bit more sponge than the original ones (see attached pic and compare to the original foam that came with the headphones) . I am very happy with this purchase. I strongly recommend this product.

Pads from my headphones started to rip. My sewing could only hold them for only so long. Bought these and used double-sided tape. Good as new. Imagine throwing out perfect headphones because of bad pads lol

Order came within a week. Pads better than the original ones which were starting to crumble apart.Headphones now as good as new!

Had to replace my original foam earpads, for the price these are awesome. They’re extremely comfortable.

Liked the ease of these and they are a great replacement for the old ones that had started to breakdown so it feels like I have new headphones.
