13 Month Update: I have been sleeping on down pillows for nearly 4 decades, and these are by far the best quality I've ever used. These have held up perfectly after a year. They still plump up immediately after sleeping & hold their shape very well. They are just as plush as when they came out of the bag and just as soft and supportive as when I slept on them the first time. I have had absolutely zero quill pokes and no feathers have ever escaped. Original Review: Two months ago I stayed at a Westin Hotel and have not been able to stop thinking about how light, fluffy and comfortable their down pillows were. I was delighted to learn they sell all the things in the rooms online. This is the first of several things I plan on purchasing. I am extremely happy. I like that the outer case is 100% cotton and that there is 50% down and 50% feathers. That’s a high down count. It holds its shape really well (so far) and is very light and fluffy. Will update review once I’ve used it and washed it. There is some evidence of feathers coming through just a little - and you can see the darker feathers through the case - but that seems for the par for a down pillow. They are pricy but I’ve purchased pricier ones from other brands that I ended up returning - the quality far surpasses the more expensive ones I’ve tried. Used one as a body pillow last night and had an amazing nights sleep - very comfortable.

I know some people review this pillow and claim that it's not the same as when they stay at a Westin-brand hotel, but I honestly thing that when dealing with something as subjective as pillow comfort, your mileage will also vary because it's subjective. This pillow is great. I had one for two years and made the mistake of trying to wash it - which the tag says you can do - and it completely ruined it. The pillow case itself is so high quality that it was virtually impossible to get all the moisture out because it's not extremely permeable. So I bought two more and couldn't be happier with them. If it was truly and more easily washable, it'd be 5 stars.

I have purchased this pillow twice, the first time after staying in a Westin about 8 years ago and finding their pillows don't hurt my neck. The first one was great, but sadly I left it behind in a hotel room last year. I bought another one as a replacement. The new one reminds me of a regular poly filled pillow, it doesn't compress around the neck like most down pillows do. It's almost like the cotton casing is too thick and the air between the feathers can't escape. I've given it several months thinking time would help. It hasn't.

For a couple of years I've been searching for the right pillow at multiple stores, trying multiple fibers. I like a fluffy down pillow. And when we stay at hotels, which is multiple times each month, there's nothing like the Westin bed. The sheets, the pillows, it's all outstanding. So I finally broke down and made the purchase of a Westin pillow and I was really excited. For most of the other pillows I have bought in the past, they are in the $20-50 range. I thought if I bought the Westin pillow and invested $125, I would get what they have at the Westin. This is not at all what they have at the Westin, I stayed at one just two weeks ago and raved about the fluffiness of the down like pillows. This one arrived, and it's flat, less than 11/2 inches think. I tried sleeping on it for five nights and fluffing it up, it's not down / down-like at all, very flat and literally nothing like what they have at the hotel. It came in pretty packaging, but is not what they describe it as. They have no customer service, and I couldn't figure out if it was an error, the only solution was to return it, so that's what I'm doing. I love a Westin bed and pillow, this isn't it.

At first I was super impressed with this pillow. For $100 I was expecting it to be wonderful. However now six months later it is completely flat and I wake up many nights with the neck pain. So disappointed that I spent that much money on a pillow and it only held up a few months.
