This tool worked very well
This tool worked very well. Easy to understand and worked very well at resizing the Ring. It maintained the round shape of the ring very well.

Works Better than I Expected
I really didn't think this would work. My favorite flower in a daisy and my husband bought me a ring a few years ago, that I never take off because its just a little too small. I got this with a very low expectation of it working. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to put the ring back into a circle as well as give me the little extra room I needed for my nuckle

Great, inexpensive alternative if used with a little patience.
Worked as it should. Use a little common sense and it does the job. Will probably not work on jeweled rings as it expands the the entire band. This one did not come with a hammer. I recommend a small hammer applying light impact, and rechecking size frequently. It will snap a band if not careful. A great tool to expand a band one size at the most.

Soft Metal
I'd love to review this higher, the design is good and it did do it's job for one ring. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends for this, the metal used was far too soft and actually deformed during use and is now all but unusable. It could be a simple issue of improper heat treating, but as it stands it's not sufficient as a tool out of the box.

Works. Takes more effort than I expected.
It does work. I wear a fairly simple jewel-free male wedding band in 14K gold. It became very difficult to remove for work. The expander needs to be lubed. I used silicone paste. It took more than the suggested rubber mallet. I hit it pretty firmly with a 3 lb sledge, testing as I went. Now I can just get if off, but it isn't going to slip off.

Works with limitations
This works with some limitations. As mentioned in the listing, it is only for certain sizes. Also the tool is hardened steel so if you hit it with a soft hammer like brass, it is going to mar your hammer. If you hit it with a hardened hammer, the chrome coating will flake off (definitely wear eye protection) and it will beat up the punch set. Also when using it, you either need a dowel or something to pound out the expander out, or you need to commit to punching the ring expander all the way to the max so you have enough sticking out that you can hammer it back out. Also don't use on wide rings, if its wider than the steps, it will mar the inside of the ring with a line that is rather deep and doesn't polish out easily. I think by going all the way through on my test ring, I picked up slightly less than 1 size difference, but it depends on how tightly it fits initially on the steps as to how much it expands. So if you were trying to only get a half size difference you have to experiment with how much to insert the punch and a dowel or something as mentioned above to get the punch back out. If you have to resize a couple of rings a year, this will probably work, but if you were doing it regularly you would need to invest in a better tool.

Good tool to have for Jewelry lovers....Easy to use!
Had several rings that over time got a bit too tight to wear. Purchased this to take a chance at ring stretching on my own since the jewelry store has gotten really expensive to go up a half size on ring-sizing. Worked like a charm and was really easy to use. Learned that it works best on a piece of full grain when tapping to stretch unlike hard surface without cushioning results. What started out as a "give it a try" item ended up being used for all my rings that were too tight. It should be noted that this is good for going up a half size and up to 1 size depending on the thickness of the jewelry ban. men's rings tend to be thicker so I had no issues however have not tried it on a ladies ring. Also, this cannot be used on rings that have stones that are mounted on them as they take a different type stretch unit. Definitely would recommend and will buy again if this one wears out and I need another one.

I'm new to jewelry making. Used this stretcher to size my wife's ring from a 6 to a 6.5. Worked really well to maintain sharp. It's white gold so I ended up having to cut the ring and add material in on the bottom. Whole new experience and this stretcher helped keep the integrity and shape of the ring as I built it up after 20 years of wear plus having to add more gold for the sizing.

If it gets stuck it does not work well. You will have to damage your ring to get it out. I would rather get the ring resized professionally.

Practical for small adjustments. The release of the ring after, expansion needs to be worked on
