Sponge perfection.
If Sponge Bob worshipped a deity, it would be these sponges. It's a little weird how much I love these blue scrubby scotch-brite sponges. They are just perfect for almost any job in the kitchen. They are the perfect balance between not harming your metal surfaces and being strong enough to get things clean. Why an 18 pack? Because sponges are a home for weird bacteria and gross stuff in the kitchen. I have read that you can microwave your sponges to kill the bacteria, but I just replace my sponges often. What is more gross than visiting a friend's kitchen and feeling a mushy, damp, worn sponge that has been soaking in germs for over a year? How does that even get their dishes clean? These sponges are even a great shape- a slightly wave shape, with abrasive side and smooth side.

Perfect sponges!
It's so funny reading the reviews about the smell of these sponges. I've used these for months (maybe used 5 or 6 of them) and I've never noticed a "urine" smell. These do the job, pretty simple and great. I am rarely home, so I don't go through them that often, but they hold up for some time. The best part about this product is that there are 18 sponges. I can't count the number of times I have forgotten sponges at the store and went for weeks with a nasty sponge. Now everytime I feel it needs to be changed, I just reach under the sink and grab another!

Good sponge, value package
I seem to always be buying sponges for my kitchen and always run out. I can only keep a sponge for so long, before it smells or it just looks filthy and gross. I was very happy to find this big value pack of sponges so I don't have to worry about throwing a gross used sponge away without having a new one to replace it. This will save me money and time buying sponges individually and quite often. I would recommend these to anyone who used sponges to clean the kitchen, bathroom, or anywhere in the house or garage.

I'm as happy as can be.
Perfect! I used to purchase between 3-5 packages of these a year, as I was going through about 4-6 sponges a month. I had just put in an order for another one of these yesterday. I don't purchase on amazon much, and when I do I hardly leave feedback, but this package I'm commenting on now was purchased approximately 14 months ago. And I'm just now buying another one as I had just recently (approx 3 months ago) learned a secret of microwaving your soaking wet sponge for 2-3 minutes at the end of every day to kill all bacteria on it, keeping it from ever stinking. To which one sponge just washing dishes will last you a couple months till it starts getting ripped/torn or the rough side gets dull from constant use to which you throw it away and grab a new one. That this whole package of 18 could last me well over a year and almost going into another year. If I was to use the whole package on just washing dishes alone...but I don't, I use these sponges to scrub my walls and floors, sinks and tubs, animal cages, go-kart... so I go through them a lot quicker, but I use them for pre washing dishes before they go into the dishwasher, more than anything so I'm still saving money cutting my number of bags I purchase per year in half. Just by learning that simple tip of microwaving them nightly after a days use. (Note: I DON'T use the same sponge I clean my dishes with, on any other uses around my house).

Swooshy, scratchy, spongy!
I really like these sponges for doing the dishes. I have been using them exclusively for many years. I love the swooshy shape and how one side is scratchy and the other side is spongy. I also like how the scratchy side can help scrape things off dishes without actually scratching the dish itself. Great for no-stick pots and pans with sensitive surfaces.I ordered these on Amazon because the grocery stores near me have been selling out. They must be popular because they never have them on the shelf, just an empty spot where they should be. I didn't realize until it showed up just how many sponges 18 sponges is. I'm not going to need any more for maybe two years!

Pretty Good Sponge But They Stink Easily, Will Buy My Preferred Brand Next Time
Anyone who has washed dishes by hand knows that you either use a dish cloth, a brush, or a sponge. The dish cloth and sponge are interchangeable, but personally Ihate using dish cloths because they stink REALLY easily after about a day or two of usage. The sponge, in my opinion, is more for heavier duty usage and better scrubbing. Plus you can just toss the sponge away when it gets to the point where it's unusable.I've used various sponge brands, including Ocelo, Scotch Brite, 3M, Libman, etc. But my favorite, by far is the Lysol brand multipurpose sponge. Unfortunately Amazon doesn't sell it (but its 3rd party sellers do). You can take a look at them here: Quickie Lysol Multi-Purpose No Scratch Easy-Rinse Scrubber Sponges (18 Pack). These sponges are nearly identical in regards to cleaning. They both have a scouring side and a sponge side. Despite the polyurethane sponge found on the Scotch-Brite vs the "foam" sponge on the Lysol, they both clean well on various surfaces as well as non-stick cookware. So in terms of cleaning power, both perform the same. However the *ONLY* reason I prefer the Lysol over this brand of Scotch-Brite is the fact that Lysol is treated with an antimicrobial to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold. The Scotch-Brite does NOT have this treatment. So you if you use these to clean your dishes, these Scotch-Brite sponges WILL EVENTUALLY STINK BAD.They only last almost a month before I have to throw them away. Luckily I have lots of them, but when I run out, I'll go back to my Lysol sponges.

Scrub-a-dub-dub
These Scotch Brite sponges are the real deal. They perform as advertised and hold up well to heavy use. The scouring pad on some no-name brand sponges quickly pulls away from the sponge. I bought 18 of these bad boys. I am confident that this will exceed my annual sponge requirement. I use the sponges in my kitchen; then it's on to the bathroom, then on to the cast aluminum wheels of my pimp mobile. So, I urge you to recycle these sponges. You can also prolong their life by tossing them in the washer. And don't forget, when done in the kitchen, they can be used to clean your bicycle or motorcycle engine. Or the bottom of your shoes when you step in, umm, you know. Doggie Doo-doo. Besides, the sponges at Whole Foods are $4.00 each. Really? So, I urge you to buy these sponges. Thank you Amazon.
