I love my Gingher scissors but wanted a less expensive pair to have around and not worry about someone destroying them. I read the reviews and was still hesitant and didn’t have very high expectations for these scissors. In the past I had Fiskar fabric scissors but they break easily and they are more expensive. These scissors are great and the price is awesome. Cut smoothly through layers of jeans and the seams of jeans. The smaller clipper scissors are just as sharp and great for small jobs like trimming threads or for use when crocheting. Highly recommend them.

When my mother taught me to sew, she said rule #1: never skimp on your scissors. So when I took a chance on these scissors I feared (because of the price) that I was breaking my mom’s rule. But they had good reviews, so I gave them a shot, and I’m very glad I did. First I do a lot of leather work and leather is hard on scissors. I was dawn to these because of their steel construction. This means they can rust and must be maintained with oil, but it also means the blades should hold their edge under use a little better. Out of the box the scissors were impressive. They are well constructed, easily adjustable, and comfortable. My current projects are in nylon rather than leather, but the scissors preform beautifully. Very smooth, straight cuts. I can’t speak to the longevity of the blades yet, but I can say that my previous scissors which I wore out after nearly two decades of use, cost three time the price of these scissors and cut no better out of the box. Will these scissors last 20 years? Will they hold up to resharpening when necessary? I can’t yet answer these questions, but if they don’t, I’ll still have saved enough money to buy two more pairs. If you don’t mind oiling them up (I give them a couple of drops when I oil my sewing machine) and you need a really good pair of sharp steel scissors, look no further, these are for you.

These cut through thick felt - even layered in two. The little seam scissors are precise enough and sharp enough to get little stitches. I love my little set.

I would defiantly recommend these scissors. Very sharp, very well made. As a sewer these are the best ones I’ve purchased and will last a long time. Very well made.
