Love it, makes projects so much easier
It keeps top and bottom layers from getting out of alignment. I was ready to toss my machine because I was getting poor results but this has made a world of difference. The only negative so far is that it cannot handle a lot of layers or a few layers of thick material, it just doesn't have the clearance to move the fabric under there.

Works as intended
This even-feed foot works as intended. However, customers should know that it is an OPEN TOE even feed foot as opposed to a closed-toe foot. The open toe feature allows you to see how the needle and fabric interact. Because it's open toe, the fabric isn't held down between the "toes" when you're sewing. This isn't a problem unless you have to sew close to the EDGE of a slippery, sheer fabric--then the fabric might get jumbled up because it's only being held down by one of the toes (instead of both) on the even feed foot. (This also is a common problem with a regular sewing machine without an even feed foot.) Other than that, this little foot works great, even on chiffon. It's also a good buy for the money.

Works great
Sorry that this is a second-hand review, as it was a gift for my wife. So, I'll just repeat what she says about it! She loves this walking foot and always raves about it, and uses it frequently on her Janome HD5000. She sews several hours per week, and says that in certain sewing situations it has really made things easier for her, as well as netting better looking results. Custom, made-to-order diaper bags are something she sells a lot of, and she says it's worth its weight in gold on the typically difficult-to-sew fabrics, especially when stitching the tight corners or on fabrics that are bad to pucker. The consensus is that cheap, generic models are a waste of money, so I bought her this Janome brand and she says it works perfectly and has held up very well for a long time now.

Indispensible attachment - GREAT!
I recently bought a new Janome sewing machine. The walking foot (even feed) attachment that I had for my old Singer didn't fit my Janome machine. I tried buying a less expensive variety. It was terrible! I was plastic and flimsy, and it didn't fit the machine very well. I returned it. It's well worth spending the extra money to get the genuine Janome attachment! Take care of it and it will outlast your machine! Very well made and, as you would expect, it fits my Janome machine perfectly! In my opinion, it's an indispensable attachment. I use it for sewing fabrics that are always on the go, like polar fleece! Great when working with 2 fabrics that have different textures/surfaces, like sewing bias tape on knits!

Just Perfect
The walking foot attached easily. It does not come with instructions, so it may be helpful to just look some up on the web. Once I found some instructions, it was very easy to install. Without the instructions I may have goofed something up. So, just search for some before you get started. Some elements are not intuitive and seem important. The product itself is simply delightful. It is a precision piece of equipment that works in complete harmony with the Janome machine. I am using it for knits, not for quilting as is often described as the walking foot's primary application. For knits it has been a wonderful enhancement. I am no longer considering a serger to solve many of the problems I was having with knits. This even feed foot really takes the challenge out of using knit fabrics.

Great for multiple layers!
A friend recommended a walking foot when I complained of difficulty sewing through multiple layers of home decor fabric (around double-folded hems that met in the corner + linings = 10 layers). This attachment fits my Janome DC2015 perfectly and helped the foot stay level as it went over the thick layers. I sewed very slowly and it worked perfectly. One tip - I didn't tighten my needle with the special tool that came with the sewing machine, and the bar of the walking foot touches that screw. This loosened the screw and my needle dropped down. Once I tightened the needle screw completely with the tool, I had no more issues. Pricey foot, but worth it!

Works Great!
After reading several reviews I spent the extra money and bought the Janome brand walking foot. It works great! I’m so happy to add this to my sewing accessories so that my creations come out as best as I can make them. We’ve all heard “you need good tools to produce good work” and this is a very good tool. I encourage you to treat yourself, like I did, and spend the extra money on this brand name foot. You won’t regret it.

Glad I bought this
I contacted the seller prior to buying with a query and he was very helpful. I was worried that because it was cheaper than others it might be a generic one and for every person who says that they work fine, there is another reviewer who says they are a complete waste of time. Anyway, I placed the order and it was dispatched quickly and I am pleased to confirm that I received a Janome brand walking foot in generic packaging, along with a fitting instruction sheet. Fitting this foot was easier than expected, it only took me a couple of mins to work it out and I am quite clumsy, next time will be quicker, I'm sure !I use a Janome DC3050 and this foot works perfectly. I am really pleased that I took the plunge and purchased this walking foot from this seller..... next challenge is to find a ruffler foot that doesn't cost the earth !

Makes quilting and working on thicker/multiple layers of fabric much easier.
I am new to quilting and can't believe how much easier it is using this walking foot. Not the cheapest on the market but quality product well worth investing in. Not only suitable for quilting but also when working with thicker / multi layer fabrics. So pleased I bought this.

Very useful sewing machine foot
I have recently taken up quilting and was toying with whether to invest in a walking foot or not. After a couple of failed attempts at quilting with my layers of material moving out of line I decided to invest in the walking foot. Best move I've made, quilting is now a breeze and I can see that I will use this foot for many other sewing projects.
