My first pure sine wave UPS
I’ve owned and managed dozens of UPS units over the decades, but never had an occasion to need anything other than a modified sine wave unit before. But for the pellet stove in my new home, the fan motors inside it don’t tolerate the MSW output, creating problems for the stove during last week’s short winter-storm power outage. This unit made all the difference, though. No change to the fan behavior during power loss, and nearly 45 minutes of estimated runtime for the stove. We’re ready for the next storm.I’ve used Cyberpower before over the years, and in fact this unit is replacing another Cyberpower UPS, and they always provide good performance and value for the money.

Support when you need it the most when you loose power
Not a replacement for a generator but this UPS system gives you the power when all else fails. Just remember it is limited to the battery power it has. With that the more you give it to handle the less your time for it to keep your equipment going as with any UPS. Working great!

Warranty Service leaves me without a functioning unit for weeks.
Worked great for about 9 months until an E01 error appeared (charging system). Cyberpower responds with RMA, but I need to send the unit in, and wait till my unit arrives at the manufacturer, and wait 1-2 weeks turnaround until it's repaired or replaced.A competitor brand will send a refurbished unit as I exchange my unit in.I understand problems happen and I'm glad Cyberpower is examining it under warranty. However, UPSs can be considered mission critical for daily operation, having to do without it for up to three weeks is counterproductive. I will no longer purchase CyberPower units because I can't afford disruptions like this.-----UPDATE 01/26/2018:Has failed for the 2nd time in less than 2 years. This time with an E24 (Thermal) error. The unit was under low load and well ventilated. The unit was not even hot. With this error, the UPS just switched off all power to the devices. This is unnerving because I was doing a major data transfer and thankfully nothing corrupted.I contacted CyberPower via their Chat services and requested a prepaid shipping label, as I was *not* going to pay to ship this back a second time. Support also noted that if this error appeared without there being any thermal issues, that the thermal sensor is at fault and the unit needs to be examined.I have since purchased a competitor unit, as I am again without a functioning UPS in my daily operations as I await repair/replacement.

It works
Received the unit and installed in my power network. It was fully charge when received and it worked once plugged in. No issues.

Got it for a 65"TV, AV receiver, DVD, satellite receiver and turntable. Works great and it already has protected my system from two short power outages. Being small makes it easy to place in a corner of the cabinet.

fan on
It is 2 years old and now has problems. The fan stays on all the time except when you shut it down and unplug it. The output voltage is low. Looks like I will buy something else.

I've previously always owned APC UPS systems, but the battery always fails after about 3 years, so I thought I'd give CyberPower a try. Although I don't yet know if the battery will last longer than APC, I like this UPS better because of it has more backed up outlets (8 vs 5), a better display, and even looks better (imho). If this lasts as long as the APC does, I'll stay with this model.

No pass-through to protect routers or cable modems is only flaw (updated September 13, 2017)
Pricey, but incredibly sensitive to power fluctuations. I live in an area where they're very common and this has caught them each time. In fact, sometimes the only reason I know that one has happened is because I've heard the UPS make the switch to/from it's own power. Often times the lights don't even flicker when it happens, but this UPS catches it anyway. If there were a pass-through to also protect my cable modem and routers connections, this would be almost the perfect home electronic protection device. For the price, it should have that protection, but it doesn't. So - minus 1 star for leaving out something so basic.Update: September 13, 2017This little UPS went through it's "trial by fire" with the passage of Hurricane Irma. Yes, the power went out for an extended period and in the past none of my UPS would ever accept power from my standby generator, leaving me to watch helplessly as it slowly went dead. This one not only accepted the power, it continued to maintain a full charge and never started draining the batteries until I shut off the generator to save gas. The display initially indicated anywhere from 400 to 700 minutes of time at the load level it was carrying, although I didn't test that. So, if you're looking for an uninterruptible power supply that actually is uninterruptible, this should be high on your list of considerations. Add 1/2 star for that. If it only had the pass throughs to protect routers and cable modems, it would get the full five stars from me.
