These work but you have to take a lot of them. Probably not what they want you to do but I dump about a quarter to a third of a bottle in whenever I wake up with leg cramps and in 15 to 20 minutes it's like I never had a cramp. I've never had a bad side effect from taking so much either. I keep a bottle by my bedside for those unhappy moments when I wake up with a cramp. You don't need water to take, just put 2-3 tablets under your tongue and let them dissolve. My neighbor rides dirt bikes and often gets cramps. He has trouble with his stomach taking any pills.
