Good price .
It doesn't keep up with the newer models, but the price is right an but with a little care it builds into a nice model.

Good model of a P51B
Haven't totally finished (see photo) but getting close, finishing the exterior paint before I add the canopy and landing gear. The build has been fairly straight-forward, minor adjustments needed but nothing major. Model was well packaged and all parts were included, instruction clear (however I would suggest that the landing gear and canopy be added after the exterior painting / decals are finished; contrary to the instructions). This model is more than adequate as a basis for a great build; if you put in enough time / effort.

This is the latest re-issue of the classic Revell 1/32 P-51B
The price for this kit is very reasonable. The original kit was issued by Revell in 1970 as part of their growing 1/32 kit series and sold for $2. It is fairly accurate and builds up nicely with care in assembly. It does require basic modeling knowledge and tools. As with most kits from the era some sanding and putty is needed. It does not have the perfect parts fit or the large number of parts like todays CAD designed kits. I recommend it to beginners to improve their skills and for advanced modelers who no doubt will build it with nostalgia in mind.

Bad Canopy parts
This 1/32 Mustang kit is basically a good kit, an easy kit for the most part but...And this is a BIG but, the landing gear parts are cheap, flimsy, and do not attach securely to the undersides of the wings. I tried several times to attach them, and no matter how long I allowed them to glue securely to the wing bottoms, they kept folding up under the pressure of the model that they were supposed to be holding up. I finally removed them, and attached the landing gear doors in the closed position. They fit just OK for that. The other glaring issue is that of the clear canopy parts. They do not line up to each other as if they were molded improperly. This is maddening because I have the model completely finished except for gluing on the canopy parts, and now they do not fit right. I hate to display this model with such poor fitting clear parts but looks like I have no choice but to do so.I have built several of Monogram/Revell airplane kits including some of the other 1/32 scale ones, and never had this issue with canopy parts. I am glad I did not pay too much for this kit as I feel like throwing it against a wall right now!As for the flimsy gear parts, I have built one other 1/32 kit, the P-38 Lightning that had the same issue. The landing gear parts do not stay secure, and in the right positions no matter how many times I cemented them in place!

Level 4 not level 2
For some reason I looked at the picture and thought it would be level 2 not 4. It says 4 in the title so that is on me. Change the picture though.
