continues to entertain
Good art. Good dialogue. Good plot. Great characters. This series has never had a bad volume. The plot moves and characters continue to come and go (murdered). Some excellent musings by Marcus here.

Deadly class continues to be deadly fun
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The story continues to unfold as the exam draws closer. I can’t believe the story has continued to improve with each issue. This volume was PACKED with action.

Great
This is one of the single most stressful and intense experiences I've ever had reading a comic before. Everything is horrible and it only seems to be getting worse. Loved it

The pledge
Volume nine in the series of paperbacks that collect issues of the comic 'Deadly Class.' The story of Marcus, a 1980s teenager in California who becomes a pupil at a school for assassins. This is not a jumping on point. New readers should start with book one.Regular ones, read on.This contains issues 40-44 of the monthly comic. All divided up with chapter pages, so you can see where one issues starts and another ends. And as regular readers will know by now, it's a comic for mature readers. With strong language, adult moments, and violence and gore aplenty.Following on from the end of last issue, a reunion leads to Maria making a pledge. Which has consequences.Marcus' plan is proceeding apace, but can he ever be happy? Or will he and Maria hit a bump in their relationship? And Helmut's quest for revenge for a fallen friend might lead to consequences. Who will be left standing at the end of a party which doesn't go as expected? The mixture as before. But the early action scenes are played a bit more realistically, even with one with rather outlandish foes. This is very much a slow burn volume to begin with. You might wonder where it's going, and you really might lose your patience with Marcus and want to yell at him at points. However, it does know where it's going. The second half of this volume is the most amazing this series has ever been. Stunning action follows, in which absolutely nobody is safe. All actions are thoroughly character driven rather than down to the needs of the plot. And the last page....that's what I call a cliffhanger! This is apparently not the end. But it might be a short while till monthly issues are back. Here's hoping. Because although this does slightly try your patience early on, this volume becomes amazing, and I really can't wait to see what comes next.
