Great size for one or two cups.
Originally I purchased a 12 oz french press, however I found that it was just barely big enough for a large cup of coffee. It was also too narrow to easily get your hand in it to clean the interior. The cup shown in the picture holds about 10 oz. of coffee.Pros:* Great size. It fits on the counter nicely and doesn't take up much room.* This 21 oz. press holds enough coffee to "top off" my cup or to make 2 cups at the same time.* Easy to clean - wide enough to get your hand in it to clean the bottom.* Double wall stainless steel keeps the coffee hotter longer.* Won't break like a glass french press... (personally I've broken two in the past).* It has a mark on the lid which identifies the pour spout opening.* Makes a great cup of coffee. The taste you get from a french press is much better than a drip coffee maker. It's hard to explain the difference - other than it's definitely a richer taste. I actually retired my Keurig!Cons:* Very minor suggestion: It's a very shiny stainless steel (which looks nice), but in order to prevent scratches, I use a soft sponge to clean it and a micro-fiber cloth to dry it.Hope this helps to narrow down your search!

Great design
One morning when I was still half asleep, I knocked my glass French press coffee maker off of the counter. It fell on the floor and shattered into a thousand pieces. I cursed and got the dust pan. I also decided that I was done with glass French presses. This is my replacement, and it is so much better. There is a lot to like about this French press.- It's not breakable. So we klutzes can keep it for a long time.- The handle is comfortable and easy to hold.- The insulation is great. My coffee doesn't get cold while it's brewing.- The markings on the inside are very useful. I don't have to get a measuring cup to measure my water when making coffee.- The shiny finish is nice. It does easily get water marks, but a quick rub with a towel takes them away.- No one else has mentioned this, but the long spout is very nice. You won't find that on any glass French press. It makes it easy to pour the coffee without drips. I also use this to filter my cold brew, and I am able to pour it directly into my storage bottle without a funnel thanks to the long spout.- The filter works great. I haven't found any grounds in my coffee yet. (I do use a coarse grind; but that's what you should use with a French press.) And the filter is easy to clean. Just be sure to get under the spring to clean any grounds out of there. This was a great purchase and I'm very happy with it.

This coffee pot is one of my favorite objects of all time.
I adore this coffee pot. It is so well-made. It is heavy in a very great way. It doesn't get hot on the outside, so you don't burn yourself. But it does keep your coffee hot the whole time. I got the 21 oz. It's just for me, and my coffee cup is a 6 oz, so my French press makes 3 1/2 cups of coffee for me in the morning and each cup is hot to the last drop. It's very easy to unscrew the bottom/filter part from the plunger and clean it after every use. The long-handled sponge thing that comes with the press makes it easy to clean out the canister so you don't have residue and your coffee tastes fresh and perfect each time. In addition to all of this, this object is an absolute work of art. If you like art deco style, you'll love having this in your kitchen. IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I recommend this French press to everyone who loves coffee. I will have this item for YEARS, probably for the rest of my life.

I took a flyer, and I LIKE this!
I took a flyer on this product, thinking that I might want to get away from the aging plastic associated with my old Bodum. Here's what I've found after having had it for several days.1. It keeps heat far better than my glass french press.2. The marks of 6.5 and 13 ounces inside are good enough that I don't have the type of problems w/measurement that I was concerned about. Heck, I thought I'd be using this for tea.3. This IS a very narrow french press. It's NOT wide enough for a person to easily reach in and wipe away what's left over -- the brush that comes with it is nearly 100% necessary. But -- even though cleaning's harder it cleans out the grounds well enough to make it an easy cleanup via sink or dishwasher.Honestly, I've had a pleasant surprise. There's no plastic within, it's pretty durable, and I am getting good coffee from it. Review to be updated should I experience problems - but I foresee none. I'm happy with what I got.(Update after several months: No changes in opinion. Look -- it works. It has good has good heat retention, it's attractive enough, all parts are durable, and it's well manufactured. Would I buy from this manufacturer again? Absolutely. Would I have this as a 5* if I'd purchased a wider press that I could hand clean? Quite likely)

Better than Bodum
Edit: I bought the Bayka in March 2021. One year later, it hisses every time I take it out of the dishwasher which means it's developed some kind of a leak. I can't find any kind of web site for Bayka or a contact number. I'm posting a question to see if I can get a contact.I've had Bodum presses for decades. The beakers do break after awhile and they don't keep coffee hot. But they are nice. I have 2 of the 2-cuppers and 2 of the 8-cuppers.However, I recently decided to get a 6 cup press and decided to try something new. I love the BAYK! Light weight, insulated, exactly right for a double cup of AM coffee, and no concern about breakage. Looks nice on the counter and is a prefect size to handle easily. So, as another commentator said, buy it already!

Buena prensa
