Convenient, Beneficial, and Delightful Taste
I have been making my own water kefir for some time now, and I recently began using Yemoos Dried Authentic Water Kefir Grains. I am thoroughly impressed with both the convenience and the quality of these grains. As someone who values both health and practicality, I was pleased to find that this product allows me to easily craft a fermented beverage at home without any complexity. The instructions are clear, and the process of rehydrating and fermenting the grains is remarkably simple. Within a short period, I have a batch of refreshing, lightly tangy water kefir. The taste is pleasant and subtle—lightly sweet with just the right balance of flavor, making it an ideal alternative to sugary, store-bought drinks. What stands out to me most, however, is the profound impact it has had on my gut health. As I’ve learned over the years, maintaining a healthy digestive system is essential for overall well-being, and I’ve noticed a clear improvement since incorporating water kefir into my routine. The probiotics in the kefir seem to have enhanced my digestion and overall sense of balance, which has been an incredibly welcome benefit. I also appreciate that Yemoos offers a product that is vegan and dairy-free, aligning with my dietary preferences while still providing significant health benefits. I’ve found it to be a nourishing, natural choice for maintaining a healthy gut microbiome. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Yemoos Dried Authentic Water Kefir Grains to anyone looking for a convenient, effective, and enjoyable way to improve gut health. It has truly enriched my wellness routine, and I will continue to use it regularly.

EXTREMELY VIABLE STRAIN OF KIFER GRAINS!
UPDATE 08/16/25... WOW, We're in full blast with these grains! So far we have cycled thru Molasses water, sugar water and coconut water. Blueberry, Pineapple and Strawberry second fermentations. This updated video is of a Strawberry second fermentation of simple sugar water after only 24 hours. I'll let you on a little secret. These guys, "Sassy" as I have named them, love... I mean absolutely love green Coconut water. 100 Coconuts here on Amazon runs 20 dollars and change for 12 x 11.1oz cans. That's over a gallon and the taste is great. Moreover , it is so simple and only one primary fermentation needed (No sugar, no Molasses and no minerals just Coconut water). Be carfull of additives because some processed coconut water isn't good for the grains. 100 Coconuts here on Amazon works well with these grains. We occasionally rinse our grains with spring water and I suggest you take time and do the same! Well, that all for now and will update again later. NOTE: I have been cultivating water KIFER for about 15 years and lost my first grains during a family emergency. Was able to do 2nd fermentation after 2nd feeding. Second fermentation was Black Tea. We are now on our 3rd fermentation with Lemons. Our grains (who we named "SASSY") have grown 300% now after only their 3rd feeding. That's definitely a great strain of Life cultures. We use white sugar, spring water, a dash of Trace Mineral Drops and Blackstrap Molasses. We are weaning Sassy off the Molasses while increasing the Trace Mineral Drops a drop at a time (feeding). We should have clear vibrant grains in a few weeks. One should know that 2nd fermentations can be with any fruit you choose. Yes, we even do pineapple! My lady likes it when I do my second fermentation in green Coconut water, sugar and fresh pineapple chunks. It makes the best virgin Pina Colada fizz she says. Beware of the amount of sugar though. Too much at a feeding will surely be a death sentence for your grains. Progressive amounts of sugar through 2nd and 3rd fermentations will increase the alcohol percentage but, too much will sacrifice the best flavor. I've been lacto fermentating, wine making, and feeding, Friendship Bread as well as SF Sourdough starter for years. I lost my grains when an unexpected emergency took me away for too long. Now, thanks to this seller, I'm back in the game! The video is our 2nd fermentation of the KIFER water (first was Black Tea and second is Lemons). The photo is our KIFER grains in action while on their 3rd feeding.

Very Active Grains! Highly recommend!
This is my third time ordering. I have had amazing success with these water kefir grains, and found the instructions to be quite helpful. They suggest using sucanat or molasses with cane sugar, to add minerals, and they recommend the use of spring water, as filtered or reverse osmosis water has minerals removed, but the spring water is a good source of minerals. Tap water contains chlorine, which can negatively impact the living microbes within the kefir grains. Once the grains are rehydrated, and they have had several good feedings, they will begin to multiply quickly under the right conditions. I ended up with extra, and was adding them to the compost pile or giving them to the chickens, but next time I will be sharing with friends. Water kefir grains are the gift that keeps on giving. The only reason I had to get more, is because I tend to take extended breaks from kefir making and tossed it, rather than drying the grains or keeping it alive in the fridge. I will always recommend this brand of water kefir grains. Thanks for the amazing customer service, Yemoos!

Great sellers!
Awesome! The grains came well packaged, with clear instructions and a very cute "adoption card". I followed the instructions to the letter and, no kidding, the grains were already plump and twice the size after just an hour and a half. Thay have an awesome website that is full of amazing information that was easy to understand for a newbie like me. This is only the first day and I'm impressed. I'll come back with an update after my first successful drinkable batch. Update: My grains are brewing a 32oz batch every 48hrs. It took a couple of tries, playing around with different sugars and water, to find the solution that they preferred. For my grains, the sweet spot is 6 tbsp organic cane sugar with 4 cups distilled water. I've brewed kombucha for a long time and I can honestly say, after finding water kefir, I might not ever brew kombucha again.

Easily the best water kefir grains I've had
Nice big, healthy water kefir grains! I've used a different brand in the past and I'd say it took me over a month to get the grains as big and healthy as these were 3 days in. While you're not usually supposed to use the very first discard after rehydrating the grains, I could tell mine would have no problem carbonating - especially since I'm in California's central valley and it's summertime. So I did an organic cocoa & organic coffee cold brew 2nd ferment. It was done in 24 hours and you can tell from the picture and video that it was very bubbly! Tasted a bit like a tootsie roll too! It's super fun to play with flavors. My family loves PomWonderful Pomegranate & Blueberry kefir along with the mocha kefir. It does really well with pineapple juice, coconut water, and fresh fruits like cantaloupe and strawberries. Make sure you use bottles specifically made for the pressure of carbonation, store them well, and may you never have an explosion in your pantry or a kefir shower right in your face. Bonus tip: if you unload the dishwasher at night you can store your second fermentation bottles in there and at least know that if there is an explosion, it will be confined. You can pick out the shards of glass, reload the dishwasher and done! Far better than cleaning out the pantry, taking soggy labels off canned goods and having to re-label all of them. Ask me how I know! Or you can put them on the floor of your pantry sitting in your largest pot with a grocery bag covering the bottles and tucked inside the pot. If the plastic is outside the pot the potential liquid explosion wouldn't be confined to the pot itself and would drip down onto the pantry floor. It kept one of my 3 explosions from being a big deal. I've always thought water kefir grains would make for a great science experiment for school. And these grains in particular are wonderful. I would definitely buy them again if I ever need more though the ones I have now are multiplying like crazy. I feed them organic cane sugar. They also get treats like molasses, pink salt, baking soda, a bit of clean egg shell, or organic raisins. I call them my minions and feel bad when the babies get washed down the drain.

The grains worked.
Good product. Made fermented raspberry and blueberry drink. The process of course was long but it is a natural thing and nature of course can take a long time. I was expecting it to be more fizzy, it was still delicious and sparkling. I will continue to experiment more and see what happens.

Worked first try
I was worried these wouldn’t work as they are dehydrated. But I was pleasantly surprised! I put some bottled spring water, the dried grains, 3 tbsp of white sugar, 3 tbsp of palm sugar (which was sitting in my moms basement for what seamed like years), into a quart sized glass jar. Left it for 24 hours and it didn’t seem to do much. I know it’s meant to take 48 hrs so I wasn’t shocked. I then added a slice of organic lemon (which was unwaxed) and a piece of dried mango. Left it for another 24hrs. Total 48 hrs. And it worked! Bubbles and all. The sugar was definitely consumed by the grains and I had half of the strained liquid right away (squeezed the lemon slice that was soaking in it into the strained liquid for taste). It was really good. I am letting the other half sit for a day or two to see what happens and the next batch is fermenting now. For reference, it’s early September in Chicago and the temp is in the mid to low 70’s Fahrenheit during the day these past couple days (mid to high 60’s at night). I have left them on my kitchen counter. Same with the strained liquid right now. I’ll probably drink it before I have a chance to refrigerate it. Also for reference, I tried store bought milk kefir from the LifeWay brand. It definitely had an effect on me. Im a big proponent of the gut-brain connection and my mood improved significantly. I did deal with a bit of an upset stomach (mostly gassing up) with the milk kefir at first (I don’t drink milk and likely have somewhat of a lactose intolerance). But the benefits outweighed the problems. I read about water kefir and decided to give it a shot. I think this has become my newest hobby and I’m looking forward to the adventure.

These water kefir grains work well, even for beginners like me!
Comes with instructions card & also a cute little 'adoption' cert :) As someone with zero experience making fermented drinks, I was pleasantly surprised this worked fine. Followed instructions and my 1st water kefir drink was ready in 2-3 days (they probably needed longer time to 'wake up' after the long transit) though subsequent ferments were much shorter, and took only around 16-24 hours. I switched from mineral water to coconut water (see vid) and then to tap water -which I enriched with egg shell and other stuff- and the grains had no problem adapting. In fact they expanded a lot already within the 1st week & I could see the grains bouncing up and down happily from week 2 onwards ;o Luckily seller's page has instructions for putting them to sleep, which is what I did when I needed a break :) And yes, we are having so much fun flavoring the drink and it does seem to help my parents' digestion and also heal my gut and auto immune issues. Water kefir is indeed sweeter compared to GBP which has a more sour tang so easily a crowd pleaser. Thank you! <333

Great result
Great grains. Took 2 days for them to come back to life. I have a background kombucha so to was not too hard for me to get adjusted. My mix is 5 tbsp white sugar, 1 tsp moleases, 1/8 cup black currents. When the currents float is ready to bottle.

They worked
They worked, it took a lot of refreshes to get going, but be patient, leave them alone and let them do their thing. I left them for three days at a time, and there was very little activity to for the first two batches, but it slowly got more active with the third to fifth batches.

Works Well
Rehydrated grains according to instructions and they plumped up nicely. Better than grains from other companies that don’t seem to work.
