You can use this product with either a hanging pot or a non-hanging one, and I did the latter. I have it on the deck where I can enjoy seeing it lit up on the other side of the sliding glass door from my desk. In my photos you can see it going from full sunlight to darkness, and I think the reflection in the glass looks cool as well. :-) There's a hole at the top of the trellis which in addition to being the place for the hanging wires to pass through when used with a hanging pot, is also a perfect fit for customizing/topping off your look with a wine bottle topper or lamp finial of choice -- I inserted a beautiful crystal wine bottle topper, and it looks really great reflecting the sunlight during the day and LEDs at night.

I absolutely love it and bought them for my daughter and daughter in law for Mother’s Day! It was easy to put together and it is very brightly lit at night. It also seems to be very weather resistant which is good in my area. Perfect gift!!!!

Awesome invention 🙂 Very easy to install and looks beautiful. Makes my patio/lanai look extra special especially with the lights on. Planning on getting more of them for gifts. Gives new life to boring baskets. I saw the same company “Scroll Trellis” has one which expands in tiers for growing veggies like tomatoes. No need for ugly plant cages any more. I am going to get that also. 👍🏻 Love this item.
