Ceramic Micro Cooker by Homepower

I construed the ad and the reviews on this and the competing micro cooker to represent that this cooks food evenly. I got it specifically to cook country ham pieces, which are much cheaper than slices, are irregular in shape, and hard to cook on both sides in a skillit, griddle, or George Forman. I haven't cooked anything but country ham pieces in the micro cooker, but note it works fine for the country ham pieces. It does have a design defect, that being that one cannot lift the top off while it is hot using a cloth or mitt to avoid a burn so one has to stick something into one of the steam holes to remove the top.

Just tried making chili. It came out very flavorful in just 5 minutes. It is a good buy but, as other reviewrers said, please be careful with the lid because it get really hot. I also washed it on the dishwasher without any issues.

This cooker holds a can of vegetables and really cooks well in the micro. Very handy, heavy and useful for cooking almost everything.

For my taste, this is a nice-looking item, but the lid gets very hot and doesn't work well for me. If you don't mind that, it's a nice looking alternative for the microwave cooking small pot.

I was quite happy with the item with one exception: when hot, the lid is quite awkward to remove due to the very small size and shape of the "handle".

Cooker bottom cracked on first attempt and leaked everything...BIG mess. Unable to lift the hot lid. Threw it in the trash--still warm.

This product is a much better made cooker than the other popular brand made for the same purpose. It cooks my one egg and sausage in 88 seconds. I would recommend this for anyone.
